The elements.

We all know what they are, what they represent. It's always been simple. The major idea came around when the Chinese invented their system of worshipping certain elements; fire, water, earth, air, and steel.

They made a few mistakes though. All though their assumptions were near correct, they left out two major elements, the ones that balanced all the others. Light, and shadow.

In an instant, steel was claimed to be the highest power, and the ever-watchful eye on the other guardians.

Basics. I'm rambling.

Anyway, few know that the planet earth, has several dimensions that border it, each one containing strange, new creatures, known as 'aliens'. The modern idea of 'aliens' show as giant headed creatures with bug eyes and skinny bodies.

Ha.

There was a time when there were guardians of these elements, each one representing a creature, a weapon, and of course, the elements true powers itself. But of course, like every story, there was one who didn�t like the way things were running. He, as Lucifer did, tried to rise up against these guardians to overthrow the leader, steel. It of course, wanted nothing to do with the matter, and cast away the demon.

It was that day, the overlord of the discarded world broke the balance, and chaos was redeemed.

The guardians were locked away, their bodies destroyed and their souls littered the dimensions that had already begun to crumble. Their lives went on normally, without any memory of their past lives, before the dark over-lord rose again, returning to it's rightful power.

The guardians were needed. And their worlds were destroyed, leaving one of these dimensions, and that was the one that the guardians needed to return to.

These elements, the ones that balanced one another, fire-water, earth-wind, and light-shadow, each working in unison to keep the worlds safe. Now, they'll meet again, to protect those they had protected eons ago.

Brief Bio
After her parents' death, Aino set out to find the answer she wanted about her past; the questions her parents refused to tell her. Brief Bio
Growing up in the darkest regions of hell, Kadaj lived a tortured life. Surrounded by horrors beyond the imagination, he prayed every day until finally the void of hell controlled him, the shadows seeped into his mind, driving him mad so that he could think of nothing but revenge. When he was sent to this place, his life changed, and finally he found that HE could be in charge, that people could listen to HIM. Which is the way things are now..

Story Thus Far

Aino recently found the picture of he an Eris, flipped over so noone could lok at it on his dresser. Eris left him years ago, to keep him safe from the evil, and since then he has been trying to seek out someone to love him the same as She. Confessing his feelings to Aino, she confessed them back, making him happier than he has ever been in his life...

In the picture was Kutsu and a woman with black hair. A warm smile was on his face but only that of a nervous smile was on hers. On the back of the picture was written 'Kutsu and Eris <3'.

"No...there's no need for apologies..." He paused and walked over to the bed, sitting on the edge of it.
"Yes I knew Eris, it made me almost want to stop living when she dissapeared a few years ago. But I kept living on, hopeing that she would someday return..." He paused to let out a gentle chuckle, "I guess that could eb the only reason I'm still here."

He rubbed the back of his neck, "But even if I am still waiting for her return she won't come back because she's aware that if she had stayed then my life would have been more miserable."

"That doesn't mean that I still don't have feelings for you Aino..."

He looked down at the gorund and frowned, "If you hate me for thinking about her I understand..." He came to a pause and stood in silence for but a moment, "I just can't help it. Her going away was hard on me...and...when you came along I thought this mightbe another chance for me to love someone and have them love me in return instead of one day just leaveing me..."

He blinked quickly. [Things were moving fast! *sexy growl*] Closeing his eyes he smiled and placed a hand on her cheek. Sweet! Setsuna's offpring loooooved~ him. But what if Eris was to...no...that would never happen. She was long gone, and maybe had already managed to meke her way to a different world... D<

She reached up, touching his hand, and pressing it against her face. "Nn~ I love you," She said again, giggling lightly.

He smiled faintly. It was good to hear those simple, three words again, "I love you too. . ." He replied after a moment of silence to chew over his words. Bringing his face to hers, he gently placed a kiss upon her lips.

Suddenly, as if from nowhere, an explosion rang out outside. Pulling away from the kiss, he looked back and out his window, to where a trail of smoke now treaded across the sky. Narrowing his eyes, he got to his feet, walking to a closet and pulling out his bow and his quiver full of arrows. Looking over his shoulder at her, he whispered, "Stay here. . ." In a low tone, and then atarted to leave the room.

"I'll be right back. . ."

Her eyes widened, and suddenly she grabbed his arm, stopping him.' N...no....you can't leave...what if you don't come back?!"

He looked at her, rather sternly, but then his gaze softened, and he let out a sigh, pulling ehr into amn embrace, "I'll come back, don't worry. . ." He whispered and took her hand from his grasp and walked away.

"I promise I'll coem if you need me! I promise!" She called, then clasped her hands at her chest, looking down.

The swordsman walked to her and placed a hand on her shoulder, smiling broadly at her, "You do not have to worry about him, I can sense his strong aura. . . He will come back safe. . ."

The monster roared and gurled, taking up villagers and children up into his void, devouring them without a second thought. Turning to Jutsu's directiong when an Arrow wedged itself into his back, then the monster got pissed. Wailing, thrashing and whatever it could do just to kill the elven-demon, was good enough for him. The monster just had to hope that it would work.

Dodging, jumping back to avoid the attacks, the elven-demon took a hard blow in the chest and stumbled back. . . "Shit. . ." He scowled under his breathe, holding his wound as it bled profusly. He had someone he needed to protect, and would do anything to protect her. . .

"It's not fair...that he get hurt," She looked up at him suddenly, her hands at her chest. ".........Kutsu...."

"He will be fine. . ."

Suffering yet another blow, he was sent flying back into a wall, the beasts fist coming to meet him not to long after. Blood trickled from the corner of his lip, his head low and his gaze distant, "I have..." He whispered, panting. His hands clentched and he looked up at the beast and grinned darkly, "I'll...KILL YOU!" He yelled, and suddenly lashed out, his whole form glowing dark.

The samurai's eyes suddenly widened and he ran to the door and opened it to looked out, "I think something is terribly worng..."
