The Angel Board: Contacting Your Guardian Angel

The fascination of contacting the spirit world is now taking a new dimensional turn in the occult practices. They are not only confining themselves to contacting the deceased, but now they are trying to contact the angels, primarily their guardian angels. They are attempting to do this by a new occult tool called the “Angel Board”. In this article I will tell why it is nothing more than a Ouija Board with a face lift and that the angels be contacted are not the angels sent from God.

For many decades now, people have used various ways to communicate with the “Other Side” or “spirit realm”. Devices such as tarot cards, crystals, automatic writing, and the talking boards are among the most common methods used by the novice to the expert mediums and diviners. Of these methods or devices, the Ouija Board has been one of the most popular. It is marketed as a game by Parker Brothers and is bought by many throughout the U.S. and other countries. But with the drastic fascination of angels in this last couple of decades, the talking boards are now being exploited towards communicating with angels.

The Angel Board is being advertised over the Internet as way to contact the angels of God. It has the same design as the Ouija Board in that it has the letters of the alphabet, the numbers from zero through nine, the “Yes”, the “No”, and the planchette. The only difference is the picture in the center of the board; it has a picture of an angel. Since it has a picture of an angel, it is supposed to make it all better. This is another false and deceptive trick of Satan to lure people into the occult practice of divination and necromancy. A visitor to my web site brought this board to my attention recently. The person told me about it and was wondering if it was like the Ouija Board, and was it dangerous as well. I went and found where it was being advertised on the Internet and as I had initially thought, it was nothing more than a new way to lure people into contacting spirits. Any form of divination or necromancy is forbidden and an abomination to God. It is a sin to do this or any other type of witchcraft or sorcery. In the book of Leviticus 19:26 it tells us to not practice divination or sorcery; likewise, in Deuteronomy 18:10 it states,

“10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. 13 You must be blameless before the LORD your God.[1]” (NIV)

These are just a couple of verses in the bible that tells us that divination is a sin. (for others see 1 Samuel 15:23, 2 Kings 17:17, 2 Kings 21:6, 2 Chronicles 33:5, Isaiah 2:6, Ezekiel 13:23) What people are doing when trying to channel or to be a medium of a spirit are wrong and an abomination in the eyes of God. When they contact spirits they are contacting nothing more than demonic entities or the fallen angels as mention many times in the bible. People are deceived today as they were in Paul’s time as we see in I Timothy 4:1-2,



“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. [2]” (NIV)



But they are contacting angels? Why would this be wrong? You may be asking. Because the scripture plainly tells us not the try and contact the spirit world, it is a warning to us that when we do we are contacting the devil and his fallen angles. Think about it for a moment, in all the times that the prophets or characters in the bible were contacted by angles what happened? How were they contacted? It was not by sorcery, witchcraft, or divination. No, the angels of God were sent by Him to provide a message or proclamation, or carry out a punishment. It was not meant for any of us to contact these heavenly beings. If God has a message for you then you will see them; otherwise, you are not going to contact them. Many will try and deceive people, it is not the angels of God that they are contacting, it is the fallen angels that pose to be angels of God. What does the bible say about testing the spirits to see if they are sent from God? It states in 1 John 4:1-3,



“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. [3]” (NIV)



This is so true today as it has been for many years. So do not be fooled by the so-called psychics, mediums, or religions that try and say that they are in contact with the deceased or the angels of God. They are not, it is simply Satan and his demons deceiving the very elect and trying to have the appearance of a light. Satan is a false light as is his demons. They want you and everyone else to believe that what they are doing is good. They have a hidden agenda for those who participate in such activities and that is to pull you into a trap of deception.

Satan and the fallen angels are lying, conniving, deceiving, murderous entities who are out to fool the world. And they are not stupid by any means or weak. This is evident in Ephesians 6:10-12,



“10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.[4]” (NIV)



He is very scheming and wants to lure everyone away into the false light that he portrays. See he was once the angel of light and created as the most beautiful and perfect cheribum (angel) by God. (Ezekiel 28:12-14, Isaiah 14:12-15 (this verse also describes his fall from heaven) But Satan is the light of darkness and will use any method he can to deceive us. This is exactly what he is doing by using another name for the Ouija Board. But then again, he was an angel as were the angels that fell with him.

The Angel Board, as with the Ouija, comes with explicit instructions on how to use the device in contacting these so-called angels. Here is are some of the directions:



“6} How do I Use the Angel Board?

You can use the Angel Board by yourself and with other people. When others are present, it is very important that all participants are willing and open to experiencing a positive relationship with the Angels. To enhance communication, unplug the phones and find a quiet place where you can work with the board and not be disturbed. As part of your first session, ask the Angels to guide you in selecting a suitable place in your home.

Begin by centering yourself and grounding your energy. Draw in a deep breath through the nose and at the same time envision a white shaft of light coming down from the Universe through the top of your head and while exhaling through the mouth continue the shaft of light down your body and deep into Mother Earth. Offer a prayer such as the one that follows or make up your own. Remember, the Angels are messengers - divine emissaries from God. Therefore, request communication with the Angels directly to God. It makes no difference what name you choose - God, Goddess, Mother, Father, Higher Power, Great Spirit, Creator, Allah, Jesus, Jehovah, Buddha, Krishna or All That Is are all perfectly fine. Your intent is what is most important, for God knows what is in your heart.

"From the point of light within the mind of God, let only light stream forth into the minds of all who seek wisdom from the God-head. Only intelligent light bearers need respond and only for the good and original blueprint of my soul."

8} How do I Talk to the Angels?

Once your Angel is present, place the planchette (the pointer included with your Angel Board) on the board and gently place your fingertips on the edge of it. Ask, verbally or silently, anything you wish, then allow the planchette to move around the board as the message from the Angel is revealed. Remember to keep your thoughts positive and charged with spiritual love and good will. Negative thoughts will only have negative results and can often backfire on the sender.

You may want to phrase your first questions in such a way that the Angel can respond with a "yes" or "no" answer until you get used to using the board. Ask one question at a time and allow time for the Angels to respond.

9} What Issues can I Ask About?

An appropriate issue is anything that relates to timeliness and right action. You may want to inquire about a relationship, career move, buying or selling a business, making investments or relocating to another part of the country. State your question in the form of an issue. This small distinction is crucial. For example: "The issue is my relationship with _____." Refrain from asking the Angels to make a decision for you. Angels are very high souls and will never interfere with your free will. However, you can ask, "If you were in my position at this time, what would you do?"

If you don't have a specific question in mind, you might say, "What do I need to know for my life to become more empowered and meaningful?" Or, "What issues do I need to work on at this time?"

The Angel's reply will always be instructive and empowering. If at any time you receive information that seems scary, unreasonable, false or that directs you in negative ways, immediately command the communication to be severed and ask for God's protection and blessing.

As you use the Angel Board, you may receive information in other ways than through answers on the board itself. Be open to receiving information in whatever way it presents itself. For example, the information may come as a flash of insight to your mind.

When you have received answers to all your inquiries and guidance for your issues, close the session by thanking your guides and expressing your gratitude to God for their assistance.”

Note the areas of the directions that are highlighted in yellow, as I will explain what their deception and dangers entail for the user. First of all, these directions are teaching someone to meditate or channel the spirits like the mediums that are attempting to contact the dead (direction #6). The planchette is noted in direction number 8, and is used in the same manner as the Ouija Board. They affirm that they are other gods (direction #6), and this was taken from a religious site. The bible tells us that there is only one God and we are not to have or worship other gods before him (Exodus 20:3, 23:13, 23:32-33, Leviticus 19:4, Deuteronomy 5:7, 6:14). They are trying to convince people that they are of a Christian orientation by quoting Bible verses and mentioning God, which is another sly trick of Satan. The directions are trying to deceive the user that God is condoning such contact of the spirit realm (directions #6-9); however, the bible plainly states that this is an abomination in God’s eyes and therefore IS NOT CONDONED BY GOD. This is a deceiving remark in the directions so as to make you think that it is all right with God to do this. In direction number nine you will notice that you can ask about the future, this is the practice of divination. As we have seen earlier, the bible forbids such practices. Towards the end of direction number nine, it states that you should sever the communication with the entity if you feel danger or discomfort. This tells us that you may be contacting more than just a friendly angel. Unfortunately, you are doing nothing but contacting the demons or the fallen angels, which is very dangerous.

So as you can see, this new talking board is nothing more than another way to play Satan’s game. When you play with such toys you are opening yourself to a world that is very powerful and dangerous. I assure you that opening up such doors to the demonic realm will give you more than what you bargained for. The person is opening himself or herself up for demonic oppression or even possession. In fact, in one part of the directions is tells you to let this entity become a part of you. Hey, that sounds like possession to me. It is dangerous and should be left alone!

Listen to me; there is only one spirit that you need to contact and that is the Holy Spirit of God. He wants you contact Him, He loves you and wants you back into His loving arms. All you need to do is ask for His Son, Jesus Christ, to come into your life. Accept Him; believe that He died for you sins by doing this you will have eternal life with Him. Jesus died for you and will forgive you of your sins and give you the peace in your life that you have been searching for. Please do not wait till it is too late, do it today.
