Here's another neat idea for making cards or designing a picture to frame.

I got this idea from a show on tv.

Here's what you'll need:

* 1 sheet of wax paper
* 1 blank note card
* 2 or 3 flowers, they suggested using pansies.

To make:

Place the note card on top of wax paper, then place flowers upside down, stem up, on top of card.
Then fold over other side of wax paper, so that the card is now sandwiched between.
Using a wooden spoon or soft rubber mallet, gently pound over the side with the flowers.
Making sure that the flowers are now flattened.
Then unfold top side of wax paper. Remove card, gently using your fingers rub off the flower (s).
What you see is the "painting" of the flower.

This is an excellent idea for rainy days or VBS.
I wish I knew of this idea when I used to teach.
