Prayer For Grace, prayer request

The Lord has been speaking to me lately about NOT speaking! I have a very hard time not defending myself when I am falsely accused - but I believe He is telling me to just hold my tongue and let Him defend me. I have been falsely accused by someone who is very respected in my church and the christian community in general. everyone assumes he is telling the truth, which means they believe I am lying - I have had a great reputation all my life and I value truth. this is the hardest battle I think I have ever had to face. when the leaders in your church look at you and you know these people who once respected you and valued you now think you are a fraud and a flake, because someone is lying to protect his own image - that is so so hard. I need grace to keep my mouth shut - no one believes me anyway so it's a waste of breath and probably only increases their doubts about me. please pray for me - you cant imagine how heavy this burden is.

this afternoon while I was out looking for a job apparently I got a call from one of the places I have applied to recently. the business (a christian bookstore) was on my caller ID but they didnt leave a message! I'm hoping they will call back tomorrow and that I'll be here when they do.
my son had applied to our church for an IT position - I had been encouraging him to do this for a few months now because although they hadnt said they were looking for someone, I knew they needed someone in that position. One week after he applied, the announcement appeared in the church bulletin. they are taking apps this week and conducting interviews next week. on the up side - the person doing the hiring is married to a man who once employed my son in that field! so they know what he is capable of - we will just have to wait and see if he is chosen, though. It sure would help out if he could get that job.
but you know what? God has a plan - and His plans are never anything short of brilliant! we may not see the logic this side of Heaven but when we do we are going to be awestruck by His infinite wisdom and goodness.

well, the christian bookstore never called back - I guess they give you one shot and if you're not there to answer the phone... oh well! today I took a test for fedex freight - they have a part time position open for an office asst. it's only 10 hours one week and 15 hours the next but it pays 13/hr. I dont know how I did, and dont know if it's even a job I would want. but it's close by and it would leave most of my day free even on the days I had to work. I could probably go back to school or take a 2nd job.
the church has not called my son to schedule an interview yet. they are supposed to be interviewing for that position this week. shouldnt they have called by now to schedule?

May I ask what an IT position is? Does it have something to do with computers?

God has just the right position for you. He hasn't brought you this far, just to let you drown. He won't let you drown. No way! Keep trusting Him!

IT is internet technology.
I do trust God! One thing He has made clear through all of this - we are to follow Him. He doesnt give us a map and say He'll meet us there later, go on ahead. He says follow me. He doesnt even tell us where we are going - He just says follow me. and that is what faith is - just trust Him to know where He's taking us. the next logical step in our thinking may not be what He has in mind at all.
The logical next step for Jesus would have been a coronation! He had all those people following Him, He had the favor of God and man, He had done everything exactly right. But the next logical step - a coronation - was not His plan. To the human mind it should have been - the people were crying out to Him to be their king. But Jesus came to die. He knew what the human mind could not have figured out.
When Jesus was on His way to the cross, He tried to tell Peter - and Peter said "Not so Lord!" Jesus said "get thee behind me, satan!" He said Peter had the world's values in mind, not God's.
Just because God has gifted us in a certain way doesnt mean that God intended it to be used in the way we think it should be used, logically. I have no doubt that God led me into broadcasting. Everything pointed that way, it was like there was a red carpet rolled out in front of me. until this recent event.
the logical reaction is to be angry, to feel cheated - but how do I know His whole plan wasnt to get me to this place of frustration so that He could work something else out in me? maybe He never intended me to be a successful broadcaster. Maybe this is the place I was on the way to all along.
I still have my moments of desperation, heavy heart, anger,etc. but trusting Him is the only way to go!
