Bell Tower
The Winchester Mystery House also had a bell tower. It was only accesable from the roof, which needed you to be a very good climber, an owner of a tall ladder, and not be afraid of heights, and a system of tunnels underground. The bell hangs at the top, with a long rope running down to the tunnels. The only ones who knew how to get to the rope were the bell ringer.
It is said it was rung at midnight as a signal for the spirits to come forward, and again at 2 am as a signal for the spirits to leave. Though, some say it was silent during the day, while others say it was used to call servants.
