Alcatraz
Old Hellcatraz. Famous for holding such hardened criminals as Al Capone, 'The Rock' is now home to the feline's headquarters. The prison cells, though, still echo with the pain and torture of those souls long gone by.
A mysterious entity with red eyes stalks the halls and cells, striking pure fear into those who witness it, and it is said to try and strangle those it catches or finds in the cells. Disembodies screaming and footsteps are commonplace here, as well as the chilling, and powerful, feeling of being watched by evil eyes. While not the best place to spend a night alone, its defense standpoint is invaluable. Especially since you must have a great knowledge of the layout of the island to maneuver the poorly built rafts both armies depend on to navigate water onto the island without crashing into the deadly rocks and cliffs.

Superstition Mountains
Some of the mountains have been wiped clean off of the map, while others have been stripped off all life and have been made toxic to the living. But for the few bits and pieces of the Superstitions that remain partially untouched, it retains the majesty and beauty of the mountains before the Plague.
One of these places includes the Lost Dutchman's Mine. It is said to be the only tunnel not barred by rock falls and such, but the inside is treacherous and prone to what doomed the other tunnels to eternal silence. And, it is also recorded that the spirits of those who died looking for it draw those brave enough to wander inside into the depths of the tunnel. So much so, they get lost, and, of course, are never seen again.

Winchester Mystery House
Little Ms. Sarah Winchester was the heiress to the Winchester rifles. Sarah was informed by a physic that all the countless souls murdered by her rifles would come back to seek revenge upon her, unless she built a house for them, and was always being built for them. For near 38 years, the house was always in construction. It is said she would go to her séance room every night, using a different route each time in case the spirits tried to 'get' her, and ask these spirits what they wanted her to build. She would let them guide her pencil-ridden hand to show her exactly what they wanted. And some of what they wanted included stairs that lead to ceilings, doors that open to nothing but a couple-story drop, cupboards with 1/2-inch storage space, and other strange things.
Most of the plants on her property are dead or dying, besides one. A hedge. And that hedge is shaped like a crescent moon, and strangely, points to the bedroom in which little Sarah Winchester died.

Amityville Horror House
It all started in 1974, when a slaughter of six occurred in 112 Ocean Avenue. The only surviving member of the family, their eldest son, was sentenced to 150 years of imprisonment. Though, through all this, he pled insanity and being controlled by some demonic entity.
A second family moved into the property, only to have a priest bless the place on their first day. It is said the priest left saying something was already there, something he was uncomfortable with. It is also said that the family's dog was tied in the back, and had almost hung itself from its chain trying to leave the property. Strong smells of an unpleasant nature was commonplace, and a dark substance dripped from keyholes. A green jelly-like substance came from the walls, and flies commonly gathered in a room in which the priest felt the most uncomfortable. The sound of a brass band was also heard, along with doors slamming and the sound of footsteps in the night. And visions started after the sounds. It is said shadows would dash in and out of peripheral vision, and eyes would watch hungrily from outside. Hoof prints would be found outside, and furniture would be found out of place. The family tried reciting the Lord’s Prayer inside the house, but numerous, chilling voices yelled at them to stop the prayer.
When the family finally tried to leave, the entities tried to keep them to stay. The family's youngest daughter had an 'imaginary friend' who kept telling her she would live in the house forever, and a hooded figure dwelled at the top of the stairs, pointing at the family as they left.
It is said this happened because the Shinnecock Indians used the ground to isolate sick and insane members of their tribe, and others say it is just a hoax. But whatever you believe, if you enter the quaint waterfront farmhouse, you might find it harder to leave than you think.
