What's the new album going to be about?

Judas Priest? No. Group: Members Posts: 22 Member No.: 3,354 Joined: 22-April 09	Honestly, what do you think the new Maiden album is going to be about that is coming out in 2011? Or was it 2010? Someone correct me on this. I personally have no idea. They covered every single theme known to man: Ancient Egypt (Powerslave), Darkness (Fear of the Dark), Time (Somewhere in Time), Ice (Seventh Son of a Seventh Son), Killers (Killers, Iron Maiden), War (Dance of Death, A Matter of Life and Death), etc. What could they possibly base the new album on? Retirement? :lol: ...No, but seriously. I hope they continue to play until they're dead. D: Discuss. :up:

You can bet there'll be a song about breaking free, a song based on a dream and Steve writing a plodding 7-minute "epic" based on a book he read or a movie he saw.

OK, Derek Riggs needed 4 more years to paint something with ice on it, but the band managed to write an ice-kicking song much earlier! I hope the new record also will have songs about ice. Just an idea: "Ghost Of Refrigerator" - an epic song about the question: is it really dark inside the fridge after you close the door?

More seriously, the next record will be a concept album. They'll make the grindcore version of "Highschool Musical".
