The Captain Club is also called Lucifer, from the Latin translation of Isaiah 14:12 (Lucerne Ferre) - the "Bearer of Light." - the first radiant beam that banishes the dark of night. It is symbolic of the "Divine Light of Man" - the first awakening of self-consciousness., free will, and independent thought. It means, "the bringing of the light of compassionate understanding to the human mind" (Matthew 22:37-40)
