Name: Nahl Mak

Nick Names Mr. Immovable Object, He Who Rants of Justice, WHAT THE FU- *splatter*
Phenotypical Age: Uh... actually, he looks petrified.
Actual Age: 34

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Culture: Surprisingly, almost all of them. See History for details.

Class: Mercenary

Personality: He's boorish, loud, and seemingly lacking a few neurons. He's also incredibly boastful, but often has the actions to match the claim. He is fanatically devoted to justice and, to quote Minsc from Baldur's Gate, "Butt-Kicking for Goodness". In fact, his personality is, admittedly, a carbon copy. (Yes, I've admitted to lack of creativity. But hey, it's an obscure enough reference to claim this as original!) In battle, he goes utterly wild, protecting allies and smashing foes into bloody paste without any concern for himself. In summary, he's more than a little easy to pick out of a crowd, and he's dangerous around alcohol.

Description: Nahl is completely bald, and has stone-grey skin. He enjoys a height of approximately 7'11", without his armor, and he is very well-muscled. He has brilliant blue eyes, and a rather small nose. His ears are comparable to jewelery racks in how many earrings he wears. Of course, nobody can really tell, since he NEVER takes off his full-body plate mail. Seriously, he SLEEPS in the stuff! For the same reason, nobody has seen his clothes before, and judging from the smell, it's unlikely that he even WEARS clothes under the armor. And speaking of which, his armor is bulky plate mail with the forearms and torso painted a dark blue. He wears a reddish girdle, upon which hangs a crotch banner (Really, I don't know what the proper name for that is) depicting a demonic skull being smashed with a hammer. A massive ball-and-chain is always wrapped around his right arm, ready for use, and a huge battle axe is strapped on his back.

History: Nahl's history and origins are shrouded in mystery, mostly because nobody can tell exactly WHICH culture he was born into. The most common theory is that he was born of the Dake, in a small village on the border of the Garotin desert nation. At the age of five, childish curiosity took hold of him, and he mistakenly boarded a trading caravan setting out of the town. This caravan was later stranded in the desert, and Nahl was found as the sole survivor... actually, everyone had survived, but had just decided to abandon the caravan, not knowing that Nahl was stowing away in one of the cargo carts. Anyhoo, the next 10 years of his life were spent among the Garotin, his survival only permitted because he was too young to have been taught the Dakish beliefs that the Garotin deserved extermination. From the care of an elderly Garotin couple, Nahl saw the hardships that the Garotin had to endure, as well as their suffering at the hands of what he could only assume were other human beings.

At the age of 15, now sculpted into a powerful warrior, he set off into the world, eager to sow the seeds of justice across the world. The hulking young man didn't get very far before he had somehow wandered into Greatwood (It's rumored that his wanderlust was unhindered by the laws of distance and time... SOMEHOW...) and stumbled across a scouting outpost of the Flarin. Mistaking him to be some humanoid beast of the forest, the scouts were later astounded when Nahl had taken 15 arrows and a fire spell to the head and yet still simply walked right up to the lead scout to give greetings. Rather embarrassed about the whole incident, the scout leader took the now-hairless (Fire Spells do that) Nahl into the heart of Greatwood, where he spent another five years learning of the stories of the Flarin, and of the ill will they endure from those who did not understand the terror and hardships they had barely escaped.

Now armed with knowledge contrary to the biased beliefs of the Commonwealth and the Dake, Nahl set off into world once more, and became something of an inverse bandit, wandering across the countryside and dispensing justice wherever he found wrongful deeds committed. For those 14 years, he gained a fearsome reputation as a mercenary, as well as more than a few blows to the head. Addled brains and a strong sense of justice eventually blended into one another, and Nahl was henceforth known as a berserk warrior, and his battle prowess is in great demand. Unlike most, however, he does not fight for money, nor does he side with the highest bidder regardless of alignment. Rather, he follows his own moral compass, always taking the most just cause as his own.

I'm not familiar with that game, but I have heard of it... now what I can tell you is that it is not the original source of 'beserking' or acting as if. I won't hold it against you that thats what you want to play, since we don't have any of that yet... however please note, unless you actually get the spell for beseking, you can't improve your strength or endurance when you beserk... your fighting style can change however...

thats certainly an interesting name for it... and you don't have to change it... but for future refference one could refer to is as a 'loin cloth'.

As for those weapons. I'm sorry but you have to earn weapons through rp... armor... i'm going to say is ok.. but know that it won't protect you from much... You'll have to remove those weapons... and earn them through rp.

also know... that you can't rp like your character is incredably strong until you earn the right to do so... by earning posts... a single arrow directly hit to the face would definately kill or injure anyone... even with high post count.

Aside from that it's perfect.

aside from what I've mentioned I really liked your history.

Hmm... the berserk part would just be my excuse for fighting like a rabid tasmanian devil (in one's trousers, if one understands the reference). As for weapons, I'll use the standard RPG excuse:

RPG Narrator: Not enough EXP to use weapon!

As for damage resistance... let's just assume that any player character would be a good deal stronger than the NPCs that couldn't kill him with 17 arrows and a fire spell.

alright i'll let you get away with it... execept... even if you get alot of experience... you can't use weapons unless you come across them through rp...

It's not matter of strength really... if a baby shot you with a shotgun... it doesn't matter how weak the baby was... as long as it shot you you'd die... if they had arrows that were made of anything other than plastic you'd probably recieve injury... and if the npc ws strong enough to use a the weakest fire spell, which by the way doesn't take the form of a fire ball, but instead a fire whip... then... well... fire is fire, no matter how weak the caster is... if he managed to summon fire then it'll burn you... what your saying is your already strong enough to resist fire easily,.. except your hair...

with this I'll give it a complete... but not a perfect.

It was simply an RP excuse. How ELSE was I supposed to explain the baldness in a semi-comic fashion? And the strength thing was supposed to be a joke about the fact that NPCs always tend to be pathetic compared to player characters, even when innumerable odds are concerned. And the joke was that he was heavily injured, but didn't seem to notice that anybody was even making a hostile action against him.

And as far as weapons go, I'll find an IC excuse to not have them for the time being.

Don't worry, if anything, he WILL act like it and not quite live up to his expectations.
