If you are applying:

1. We expect you to be responsible. (respond to pms even when you haven't finished by the deadline)
2. We expect you to be honest. (If you only just want to read the next unreleased chapter of Kimi ni Todoke or whatever project we're doing, please don't apply. We won't need people like that, sorry.)
3. Most importantly, get ready to have fun with us! xDD

Cleaners::
-You will have to have access to editing programs such as photoshop, photofiltre, etc.

-you have to clean the scans thoroughly.
1. Crop excessive edges, not part of the actual manga page
2. Erase all foreign text (be able to tell between SFXs and parts of the picture)
2. Clone and redraw the parts of the pictures that have been covered by SFXs you've erased.
-You don't have to be perfect. Relax and try your best :)

For typesetters, make sure everything goes according to the translations that will be provided for you.

You can take either the typesetter test or cleaner test, depending on the position you are trying out for. If you want to be an editor entirely, then take both tests.

um please help me i want to take the cleaner test but whenever i click the download it only opens in word programs and it comes in like some weird language so please tell me if there is a file im suppose to open it to :...:

I'm very interesting in becoming an editor for this group. =3 I consider myself somewhat experienced in cleaning/editing and competent in typesetting, though I have issues with SFX's. ^.^; (I also can read/understand Japanese to an extent.)

I'm doing the cleaning test right now and will do the typesetting afterward!

Just wondering, what sizes do you prefer the scans to be so I can resize them. Thanks.

I'm also having issues opening the files, my photoshop refuses to open them because they are compressed files.

If you are having trouble opening the file, you need to download WinRar or 7Zip to open them.

Photoshop should be able to open PNG and JPEG files just fine. Try right clicking the file, Open With..., and chose Photoshop

Yes, there is a deadline. Less than 2 weeks. If you can complete a chapter in 2 weeks then you are responsible enough to edit/clean/typeset for us. :D

i caught the website here from the releases of kimi ni todoke, and i would very much like to help.
first off, i read the first topic of course and this isn't to join just to get early releases, i wouldn't mind (i'm even asuming this) working on completely different projects. but i have one major problem.
i have NO experience what-so-ever in any of these things, so i was wondering:

A) is there any way i can still contribute?
B) is there any good guide that teaches me on the various topics? (preferably cleaner, looks the most amusing one to me).

What do you mean? It should save in PSD automatically if you're using photoshop.
