SWANSEA, Wales, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Emergency medical personnel arrived at a home in Swansea, Wales, and found that a man had nailed his hand to a table.
Brett Tearne was found in his living room with a nail driven through his hand and into a coffee table, Sky News reported Friday. Police told the South Wales Evening Post that no foul play was suspected and it was just an unfortunate accident. Tearne was reportedly with a group of friends when the incident occurred.
A spokesman for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents told the Evening Post that "If people start mucking around with (tools) then it's likely something could go wrong."
Tearne was taken to a local hospital after what appeared to be a prank gone wrong, Sky News reported.
