It should be common knowledge for most on this forum (although I fear that its not) but if we don't get Ron Paul in as President in 08 we are screwed, and that is putting it mildly at best. What's more important 9/11 truth or shutting down the FED and the IRS, getting ride of the National ID card, brining our troops home and building a fence on the boarder? None of this including 9/11 accountability will get done if we don't get Paul into office. No one will care two farts about 9/11 after a city is nuked. 9/11 truth, good luck with that under Martial Law. Plus almost everyone on this board is ill equipped to fend for themselves and for the most part be self sufficient. When the S*ht its the fan (I fear that) most here will go along with whatever the Gov't says and does just so they can have food to eat and a roof over there head.

Even if Rep. Paul were to win the Presidency, there isn't much he can do to rescind the real ID act as it's already been ratified by congress and signed into law by the current President. He would need congressional authorization.

I agree 100% and would add that Ron Paul is the only candidate even TALKING about the North America Union.

Brief Overview of Congressman Paulís Record:

He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.

on poverty and welfare:

* Voted YES on providing $70 million for Section 8 Housing vouchers. (Jun 2006)
* Voted NO on promoting work and marriage among TANF recipients. (Feb 2003)
* Voted NO on treating religious organizations equally for tax breaks. (Jul 2001)
* Voted NO on responsible fatherhood via faith-based organizations. (Nov 1999)
* Abolish federal welfare; leave it all to states. (Dec 2000)

what on earth does ron paul have panned for when the crime rates shoot through the roof because all the nation's poor won't be able to afford to feed their kids when he abolishes welfare?

Restoring Constitutional government will provide more wealth to the lower and middle classes than some degenerate, federal scam. But it doesn't surprise me that you have no clue what I'm talking a-boot. Your uneducated assertion is simply that...

Besides, if you bother to read and actually think, he merely sees it as a state issue. Just because the money isn't extorted by the Feds before it's redistributed doesn't mean states can't/won't help their poor and homeless...you clueless goon...

how is that fair to put the burden on the states? and how, rox, EXACTLY, do you propose ron paul's government will get the money to the poor? he certainly isnt for tax increases for the rich or wage increases or any kind of wealth redistribution, so how will he get it done? i want a real explanation, not another roxdog inflammatory rant about commies.

Thanks for the info.

Never heard of the National Health ID Card yet.

VA system is socialized, medicare/ade is single payer. I learned this from over a year of the http://ThomHartmann.com Show. Tune in to his debates with others and participate on the phone or chatroom.

Who saw Sicko?

I did and enjoyed the learning experience. I recommend everyone see the film, despite any preconceived notions or misconceptions.

What? It is the RIGHT and JURISDICTION of the states to regulate their own commerce. Not having your money stolen by the Feds and pumped into wholesale scamming schemes isn't a "burdon", it's merely taking back what is yours...It is simply whats right and just.

QUOTE
and how, rox, EXACTLY, do you propose ron paul's government will get the money to the poor?

Um, they wouldn't, you idiot. That's the whole f^cking point. The states KEEP THE MONEY that is stolen from them by the Feds and SPENT IT HOW THEY SEE FIT...Or not spend it. Period. It isn't the job of the Federal govt to play Robin Hood meets Mao Se Tung.

QUOTE
he certainly isnt for tax increases for the rich

Because he isn't a retard.

Again, he isn't an uneducated buffoon. That's why.

QUOTE

Get what done? What the f^ck are you talking about? He's not a naive little socialist bootlicker. He isn't going to do what some idiot like you wants him to do so nothing I say will make you happy. You live in a fairy tale world and know very little about how things work. It's quite probable you will never understand anything a-boot any of this stuff...

yes it is. the rich and the ruling class certainly arent going to look after the poor (which is MOST of the country) so the federal government has to. capitalism aims to screw over the poor and make the rich richer, THATS why you need government to intervene.

you're the one living in a fantasy world where the majority of the countries population (the lower middle class) will someone have money rained down upon form the stars and they'll prance and frolic in the streets

Um, most of the country is not poor. That might be the dumbest thing you've said on this forum to date. Go look up the stats, which you obvious you know NOTHING about. You couldn't be more wrong. Hilarious.

Ok, second dumbest thing. Parrot Marx, Lenin and Trotsky all you want. It doesn't mean you have the slightest inkling about what you are talking a-boot.

Ha...no, they will simply keep what belongs to them already and not have it stolen by a criminal, centralized government. Man, you are f^cking dumb....
