There's lots of talk about how WTC 1 and 2 fell that seem inconsistent with a structural failure at the top: the floor fell into the path of most resistance, the building fell into its footprint, the top tilts as if to fall over but then disintegrates straight down, no core was left standing, etc.
I think maybe there are a lot of people that can't really envision the towers collapsing any other way so saying that the way they collapsed was unlikely may not get be real convincing for some people. I think what would really be good would be to have some basic animations showing alternative ways that the towers could have fallen.
One showing the top portion collapsing down, but then sliding off leaving the rest of the building standing.
One showing the floor pancaking, but leaving the core columns still standing.
One showing a partial collapse of the building with some columns collapsing but not all of them (like one side falls, but not the whole thing).
One showing a panacke collapse that doesn't go at near-freefall speeds, but takes 90 second, and\or has the collapse slowing down, not speeding up.
I hope my descriptions make sense. This is kind of my point. It's hard to explain but maybe easy to demonstrate. Is there already some video out there with some of these? Would it be very difficult to make?
