Description: Just realized this...

If you have any upcoming events you'd like to advertise, post them to the calendar at the top right. that way, they'll automatically be listed on the front of the forum when people log in.

just a suggestion.

when i saw the topic title, i just got an idea...a clander like you said, but something like this

users can post events happening, they fill out a form with a city, time & place...then they submit it and it automatically gets added to that areas calender...
ex. you go to a calender page, and select your state, then your city, then maybe your zipcode...then itll bring up a calender that will show these events posted by members...

it would be a fast and efficent way to know whats going to happen to a city near you, better than searching for topics with your city name in it...

(and to avoid the same event on the same date, submitted by 2 diffrent members...their form is sent to you and once you read it over you add it to the calendar)

it would be complicated and a lot of work, but it would be really efficent :D
