Administrator Group: Owner Posts: 2,474 Member No.: 1 Joined: 26-September 06	Trainer, Gym leader, Breeder or Co-ordinator After signing up for the RPG, you will head to Hankara�s House where you'll receive your first Pokemon. The way your journey will develop depends on what role/work/class you choose. Note: Though you can choose a maximum of two roles at the same time (i.e. Breeder & Gym Leader), Kira's organs of control will allow you only reach the final stage of one of them, unless very exceptional circumstances. The precaution has been taken to not concentrate too much power in the hand of one person. There may be ways to bypass this system, but you'll have to find them yourself. You are not obliged to chose a role from the very beginning, if you wish to RP the choice more gradually. However, the second you decide to have a battle gym/contest/breeder competition, the respective role will be added in your profile. You can change/add role if you wish to, by RPing that IC. If you change it, however, any recognition coming from the previous role will become useless. Trainer As usual, being a trainer means defeating all gyms and the elite to gain the title of Champion. Naturally, to achieve such a title, trainers have to be good at strategy, planning and in the balancing of their teams. Because their life is based on battling, trainer's Pokemon are usually able to pull stronger attacks than others classes people's ones and are overall better fighters. League Champions are usually chosen to represent Kira in tournaments against other regions, or work as ambassador or in dangerous area with very strong Pokemon. They are a model to other trainers and have to keep high the honour of the region, thus, even if the bond with their Pokemon is one of the less regarded factor in this class (though it may help you in your fights), people that have proven to mistreat their Pokemon will not have access to this title. Champions can also take the role of paid teachers for young trainers, opening schools and publicizing them. They can also have pupils or apprentices, people that worship them and want to learn from them. Even if they can't be of help them in official battles, like for the Gym Leaders, they can be a powerful instrument of power if used well. There can be only a Champion at time, so the only the first to arrive at the end will fight the site one. All the others will have to beat the members who have achieved this title to gain it. The fallen champion can then decide if restart again with another Role. Gym leader The Gym Leader is a sort of developed trainer, though with much more power. Their advice is usually taken into great consideration in the town they live in, and they can communicate easily with other city leaders to solve problems or establish alliances. They usually focus on a theme, which influence the composition of their teams. The concept of theme is quite large though, being not limited only to 'fire type' or 'cat looking Pokemon'; in fact, even 'the first six Pokemon I saw' can be seen as a theme, thus, Gym leader have a lot of freedom in this part. Gym Leader's Pokemon tends to reach a sort of mutual understanding with their owner, due to his special focus on the theme he choses, so that often they can act on her own but at the same fulfill exactly his intentions. A Gym Leader's main goal is to open his own gym, be it by building a completely new one in a city who lacks it, or, if he wishes to have the same team theme of an already existing leader, by gaining power over him/her. The second option is harder, since the previous Gym leader won't accept that too easily. To be able to get hold of a gym, hover, a Gym Leader will have to beat at least eight of the Gym leaders of the region; if he want to take over a Gym, in addition he needs the badge of that same gym (for a total of nine). If he meets these requirements he will be allowed to do a special exam, which content has not been disclosed to make things harder for them. Is it known, however, that a Gym Leader has to show creativity, good training abilities, knowledge of his Pokemon's characteristics and many other things. If he meets success, he can finally take power on one Gym. However, it is important to remember than though Gyms are a good way to gain money and power, they cost as well. Apprentices (if present) have to be paid, as well as winning trainers, the Pokemon in the Gym have to be fed, etc. Because of this a weak gym has great chances of having to close down and its leader will have difficulty in re-affirming his credibility among his companions. Breeder Breeders are known to take care of Pok�mon, trying to obtain the best ones by breeding them and thus obtaining new species or colors. Egg moves will also be passed from the parents to the puppies. After gaining their first license, breeders won't need to be in a breeding center to obtain eggs. Breeder�s Pokemon are know to be obedient and well trained, though they may not be the strongest battlers. The Pokemon caught in the wild, trained, or obtained by breeding will be showed off in the Breeder's Halls, where will be judged the appearance and the abilities of the Pokemon. The general look, the happiness, the relationship with the owner are all things that will be taken in consideration. A breeder that transform his Pokemon in egg-making machines, straining them, won�t be judged well, but one that can�t show to be able to control his Pokemon or to be submitted to his whims won�t look any better. Well known Breeders, who have won in many Halls, sell eggs and Pokemon to some of the strongest gyms of the region, received huge compensation for them. The more fortunate can open a Daycare or Breeding center, or even try to gain the permission to run the site official one. Co-ordinator Co-ordinators train to show off their Pokemon in contest, and have to become very good not only in arrange their Pok�mon appearance to look better, but also in teaching them creative ways to use their skills and moves. Because of this, their Pokemon tends to develop a sharp mind and have fewer problems, overall, in learning new moves and adjust them to make fabulous choreographies. Co-ordinator have the chance to acquire, at better prices, special tools to take care of their Pokemon look, even changing their color to make them more competitive. These tools have often side-effects, like lowering or raising the Pokemon�s happiness, and it's the duty of the Co-ordinator to use them at the best, keeping in mind their Pokemon�s wishes as well: an unhappy Pokemon will have fewer chances to look good during a contest and pushing him too much can cause problems in his relationship with him. Famous Co-ordinators, who have won many ribbons, are often called in public event, naturally with high compensations, to shows their skills with their pupils. If they are know to be creative and with good taste they can receive the requests to change the looks of other people�s Pokemon. If they have many customers they can deem good to open a Beauty Saloon, or even try to gain the right to run the site official one.
