Title: The Interlude LP Discussion
Description: *SPOILERS allowed here
HCBailly - April 22, 2012 07:42 PM (GMT)
Welcome to Let's Play Final Fantasy 4: The Interlude! For those who don't know, it's a 2-3 hour story that takes place a year after FF4 and is exclusive to the PSP version of the game. Unlike my YouTube comments, I do allow SPOILERS to be posted here. Read at your own risk.
I recorded the game footage for the first episode. One thing I find amusing is the difference between importing files in Sony Vegas HD Platinum compared to Sony Vegas Pro 11 . In both, there is no CTRL shortcut, so I use ALT shortcut. In the former, the shortcut is ALT-PI (Project>Import Media). In the latter, the shortcut is ALT-FIM (File>Import>Media). I just found that amusing.
If everything goes as planned, I'll upload the first episode tonight. Enjoy!
Fangfanboy - April 22, 2012 07:55 PM (GMT)

Yay I still have screen time!

When did he learn...

Long story.

I'm just going through it now, and it's fun. I can't strip my party members of equipment since I don't know when they leave, which provided a bit of challenge for the Sealed Cave. Eventually I managed to figure out the secret to killing trap doors. I feel like I should have used Cry and the Polymorph rod more often in random fights, but oh well.
Now I'm up to the part where Edge is solo, and he is brutally slaughtering everything in the Cave of Eblan, thanks to his starting equipment and starting higher than when you get him in FFIV.
I can't wait to see how I'm *supposed* to do it!

Good, can't wait for the start. :D

Since you are starting this tonight, I just updated my stuff, the only thing I am missing is the data for Kain Alive which I should get shortly.
I hope all this helps you out when you LP The After Years.
HCBailly - April 22, 2012 09:04 PM (GMT)
Honestly, I did very little research on The Interlude. I played through it twice, but didn't make any notes. I have a walkthrough that I'm using and that's it. There's really nothing complicated here, so I just decided to not to worry about it.
Ryokusensei - April 22, 2012 10:25 PM (GMT)
It's extremely easy to play through I had no help with it and I destroyed the interlude it lasted a couple hours tops, I think?
Deraj626 - April 23, 2012 12:32 AM (GMT)
I don't know about the equipment, but it makes sense that people would of dropped leves. It's been a year since anyone's really fought, so they're a bit rusty.
ExandShadow - April 23, 2012 12:49 AM (GMT)

Honey? Where's my end-game equipment?

What?

WHERE IS MY END-GAME EQUIPMENT?

I put it away!

WHERE?

Why do you need to know?

I need it!

Nuh-uh! Don't you think about running off to do no daring-do! I've been planning this trip to Damcyan for two months!

The world is in danger!

My evening's in danger!

YOU TELL ME WHERE MY EQUIPMENT IS, WOMAN! WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE GREATER GOOD!

Greater good? I AM YOUR WIFE! I am the greatest good you are EVER gonna get!

Interesting how he's even lower leveled when you start as him in After Years, as well (15).

I think it would be more correct to say time flows more quickly in the Feymarch. Rydia was there for years inside (Thus, she aged), but only, what, a few weeks passed outside? Maybe a couple months? Aging more quickly would mean time is flowing more quickly.

Hilarious comic, ExpandShadow.
Schloss Ritter - April 23, 2012 01:16 AM (GMT)
Um, if Rosa "isn't feeling well" already, should she really be in combat?

I agree. That's the first one, out of ALL the comics on this forum, that I've actually liked.

It was the final line that sealed it. Still, pretty damn good.

Next time Porom smacks Palom upside the head, you should totally edit in a scene from NCIS where Gibbs smacks DiNozzo upside the head.

And I was waiting for you to make a DC "Spoiler alert!" reference, and you did not disappoint. :)

I'm surprised I didn't rip off DC more in the StarTropics LP. I got a lot of my catchphrases from his LPs of that and the sequel.

Thanks can't believe. It wasn't taken also I've started the interlude even though I am still finishing final fantasy 4 because I wanted to play along.

Heh, the main reason I'm not Rydia here is because you are. But that's ok, I have alternatives.

Not at all. I love Kain! His VA in the DS version and in Duodecim makes me all weak at the knees. Such a deep, sexy tone~
@Jiruru: Good thinking. Besides, too much Rydia might cause a weakness in the space-time continuum. Too much whip-wielding, dragon-summoning, green-haired hotness in one place could be catastrophic. But what a way to go, eh?

When you don't cite the source, it's called plagiarism. :o
Edit: In case anyone is wondering, I'm just joking. I thought it was hilarious as well and I didn't recognize where it came from.

I did the same think three years ago based around FF7 with Reno and Rude in the infamous "What does Marcellus Wallace look like?" Pulp Fiction scene with Rufus as Marcellus and Elena as Mrs. Wallace.

You guys will NEVER guess the title of my next episode. Oh, you can guess where I'm going to draw the pun from, but you won't guess WHICH pun I will use. *evil laughter*
