Title: Chapter 12-13 Discussion
Description: *Includes post-game discussion

HCBailly - April 29, 2011 02:00 PM (GMT)
This topic is for the discussion of my Final Fantasy 13 LP. The remainder of the main storyline won't take me very long, so I figured that I'll include post-game content in this thread. I also plan on several bonus episode to go over farming methods for Trapezohedrons, gil, and CP, sometimes all at once. I'll probably show several different methods, depending on the viewers' level of development.

Thanks for the discussion.

the chance's of receiving a shroud from an enemy in Orphan's Cradle are 0.13%

Okay, I knew they did that a lot but didn't realize it was this much. Wow... Well, seems like they had fun going overboard like that.
I'd not be surprised if there were even more points... Hm... enemy number doesn't seem to fit, neither character number... maybe there's 139 (13*13) somewhere... seems like a fun thing to spend you time on.

and some how they said that there's 13 party member's if you count the eidolons
i don't see how that's possible considering that there's 6 party member's but ok
maybe if you count serah

How are you going to handle post game again? Are you going to skip over the Final Boss, do the marks, then fight him, or are you gonna show him, then the marks?

HCBailly - April 29, 2011 08:39 PM (GMT)
I'll be doing the remaining missions after the final boss with the Stage 10 Crystarium. It can certainly be done with a Stage 9 Crystarium, but I figure why make it harder than it has to be.

Lightning- 1
Odin- 2
Sazh- 3

Snow- 5
Shiva -6 & 7 (Two in one)
Vanille- 8
Heckatonchair- 9

Total of 13. Although, if Serah's in the sequel, it might be fun to play with her.

Well, what I meant is that you'd make a save file just before where you'd fight him normally, LP all the post-game, and then go back to the other file for the finale with the Stage-9 Crystarium. Not doing something bat-shit crazy like fighting Vercingetorix with a Stage-9.

with the ending of the game
there are two more theme song's in ff13 that you can use
the first one is this
its the main theme in the japanese version and its played in the credits in the japanese version if im not mistaken
the second song is the original ff13 main/vocal theme (which unfortonatly i don't remember its name)
they took it out of the game because nobuo composed it and they wanted the sound truck to be fully composed by masashi hamauzu

and just so it will fix the fact that there's no ff theme in ff13
you play the ff theme in the final part of the ending

Well i guess Square can't see musical geniuses anymore when they listen to their music.I mean don't get me wrong i love the music in FF13 i just like Nobuos music better.

Konrad - April 30, 2011 02:20 PM (GMT)
Didn't he also do most of the music for X and XII?

EDIT: Wait, no, it was Hitoshi Sakimoto who did pretty much the entirety of XII's music.

except for kiss me goodbye which was composed by nobuo
and if you meant nobuo then no
he didn't composed most of ff10's soundtrack
he composed about half of the soundtrack

Konrad - April 30, 2011 02:43 PM (GMT)
Well, he was working on XIV, he didn't have time for XIII, and the weren't going to put back release of XIV just for the music (They should have done it for several other reasons). It's also harder to multi-task nowadays because of how much effort needs to go into the soundtracks, and he's also getting kinda old. Besides, they compensated pretty well, seeing how they got his literal right-hand-man for the job.

i didn't say it was stupid that nobuo didn't compose ff13 (although i really would have loved it if he had composed the game)
im saying that it was a stupid move of SE for removing the main theme that nobuo already composed for ff13 just because they wanted hamauzu to compose the whole soundtrack

Konrad - April 30, 2011 05:27 PM (GMT)
Okay, gotcha. That is pretty stupid, ain't it? You think they still could have kept it in as a bonus or something.

I think you should just create a separate account to upload that one video.

Hukos - May 1, 2011 12:38 AM (GMT)
Blip.tv is just a different video uploading service. People use it when they hate the constant copyright claims bullshit that plagues youtube. It's far less popular and thus, the likelihood of getting slapped with a copyright claim is significantly less.

I see. Thank you for explaining. But is it something you have to pay for? That would be my only concern. Ah, the heck with it, I'll just look it up, and see for myself.

--- Okay, well your right, it's Youtube, without the popularity. Though they lack final fantasy videos.....Except some final fantasy music. But I didn't really look vary hard.

Ya, you should probably mute out the game sound, commentate like you normally would, and edit in the Japanese ending theme. Its better than my hands or whatever, and it would be better than no background music at all.

You DO know that HCBailly has subtitles on right? They can just READ THE DANG SUBTITLES. If they don't wanna read, they can just play the game themselves or find it somewhere on youtube. "My Hands" only plays from when Lightning and friends (Not Fang or Vanille) wake up to the first name in the credits. They can still see the epic Ragnarok crystallizing Cocoon.

actually now that i thought about it
it might be better to play the ff theme if your muting the game
the japanese ending theme is nice and every thing but the ff theme might work better then it if the game is muted (the ff theme is better when people are sillent in the background)
+
its tradition
every ff (exept 10 and 2) must end with the ff theme

For the ending I know That Darksydphil made a FF13 playthrough and he uploaded the ending with Leona Lewis's song just with his own commentary and its still on his channel.

They don't take the videos down. That's not the problem. They claim copyright on them, which allows them to make money on the videos.

i still can't believe someone was stupid enough to do that on youtube
eventually they will do that to a person who can and will fight back at court

And likely lose, ever since Google got their hands on youtube, they've been sued severeal times and when Viacom started claiming copyright and getting videos taken down because of it, now music companies can claim copyright and have the video removed and possibly have the account banned, or claim and make money off of it, it's a lessar of two evils situation, music companies are greedy bastards nowadays, also, they'd have enough money for the best lawyers to state their case.

but they will lose because they can't take the money by law
and there's so much evidence and witness's against them because it happened on youtube that they can't get around it

A lot has happened since I was gone.

I'm going to be honest, I'm surprised HCBailly is already in Chapter 12. Actually, how long has HCBailly been doing Chapter 11? XD

Well, since I've already seen the ending to FF13, I care more about the copyright claims more than anything else. I would like something like what Dsilink suggested since not having the Final Fantasy theme is blasphemy to me (overexagerrating[excuse my bad spelling, my brain isn't working today], but you get the point).

I know, he was at it for like 20 episodes or something.
