Waters so crystalline, so clear and crisp that the sands beneath them were visible to the eye of any being; their song so tranquil that it was able to ease the pain of the salty winds that took hold of each and every breath. View of the horizon not tainted with neither the image of trees nor any plant life, but haunted by the cyan waters of the ever lasting ocean. Only the sounds of the playing, rushing water upon the shores and the harsh winds played at the atmosphere; both singing glorious songs of each sight they ever took hold. The sand that littered the grounds below, bright silver and stunning coffee tinges lay scattered about the pebbles, of almost every size; large ones, small ones and any in between. Grains so smooth that perhaps it seemed no life existed upon them at all, even the summer gulls that plagued the area seemed nonexistent.

Oh, but there was life, many a soul dwelled upon the beach, and all the land put in-between each, but even ones who possibly didn’t belong. Scrolling down the sands, the images of the flat surface, the ever so even grains seemed to fall in. Shapes of the oddest sort seemed to fill across the unseen territory, moving on, more and more become slightly visible…the prints not like any island creature, something canine about them, something stood out from the large paw prints often found during the late evening.

Something sat upon the rolling surf, the near snowy white coat undulating gently to and fro as the swift sea swept past. This candid looking creature seemed to be gazing into the liquid silver waters, painted by the quick glow of the half moon, his long slender tail bobbed up and down on the surf each time it rolled by; not seeming to affect the stare of the odd beast. A long snout, colored russet and ginger about the top and wrapping around the brow to create a simple mask, seemed level with the horizon and making the stare seem even more important to this animal.

The body of the animal was still, only swaying back and forth from the strength of the ocean’s mighty currents, and the growing breeze that seemed to make the odd fellow’s brow furrow slightly in pleasure. It was in this quick whipping zephyr that the lupine form rose from his flanks, yet not letting his eyes shift from the half moon. Not a sound crept from the gullet of the creature, nothing more than the shifting sand below his paws stirred, along with the constant pulsing sound of the sea and her majesty.

Gradually, the tide was consumed by the sea, taken off the shore and the animal’s thick heavy paws of ash and ginger. Silver and auburn hued cranium turned towards the east, moving gently as if any sudden movement upon the body might cause fatal injury. Within the gaze of the fellow grew a long narrow strip of land, the swells still rolling upon the broken stones and reefs that covered each inch. Swaying with the tide the scrawny form shifted, from left to right, crunching the fragile pebbles below--his head moved none.

A deep rolling note erupted from presumably the throat, exiting through the nostrils as the muzzle had not parted yet. Low and hoarse the note soon grew into a swift higher uproar, the two jaws parting gently allowing the tone to stretch and vary. Shining ebony lips curled around his top set of canines, head still level with bodily posture, jowls parting even further as the song grew into a high pitched harmony with the sea and wind.

Gently the breeze began to grow, almost upon hearing the solemn un-orchestrated tune, forcing each branch of the palm trees far behind the shorelines to join in…This song, noted that the creature, was that of…a wolf.

Eh, my post is gunna be so short compared to yours x.o;

Her journey had been compleated. Calm gaze cast across the crystalline waters that seemed so pure. Nostrils flared as the beast inhailed the fresh salty air. Golden gaze captured the sillouette(sp?) before her. His eerie call echoed in her ears. She watched for a while, before raising her delecate mug and bursting from her chambers came a beautiful note that shattered the serene noises of the esturine environment. Her cry started low, like a strong gale blowing through a forest. It then became higher and more husky. It jumped down a few notes before ending as the she-wolf took another breath.

Her cry echoed again, this time it was higher pitched. It lasted a shorter time than her last one, but seemed just as beautiful. She began to walk again, nose hovering above the salty sands. Accidentally(sp?) breathing in a few grains. She rose her mug from the sands as her eyes began to water. A bursting sneeze was issued, her head flying downwards. She looked up strait after that, shaking herself.

She began to stroll along the shore-line, letting the waters curl around her ankles. Contented smile formed 'pon the creatures lips. Her midnight black pelt that was now covered in dust and sand was ruffled as the winds picked up and danced around her.

She picked up her pace, wanting to find shelter soon before her fur was entangled with more itchy sand and salt. Her large paws leaving shallow imprints in the sand, being washed away with the tide as the waves washed in.

A long high pitched wimper was issued as she came closer to the figure sitting on the rock. She looked up at him, keeping her distance incase this was another heartless murderer in whom she couldn't trust. She would wait until he noticed her.

Gaze lifted to the silver sun that hung in the sky, surrounded by the navy bluish clouds and the twinkling stars. Lithe grin replaced her timmid smile as she watched them with contentment.

Finally as quickly and peacefully as his song had come, it vanished upon his breath and let its last few moments live upon the salty breathe of the sea. Replacing his weary attitude with a soft beaming smile of contentment, his ears listened wishfully to the beautiful tune, from some distance away. The male allowed his head to turn pensively toward the direction that the note had originated, still singing was the sea and palms that so generously lapped over the sounds of the grains being smashed and shifted.

Continuing he listened, thoughtfully and carefully as following the song a whine. It saddened the snow and ginger wolf’s heart, to hear one emit such a high tuned whine. “There is no reason to whine,” his soft, yet seaworthy, voice came, low and still caring, “come hither and fear not for I am not what others may take me to be.” He paused, clamping his muzzle shut and letting his visage wrinkle with uncertainty.

The aging wolf let his auburn eyes wander back to gaze at the rising moon, taking her place over the navy seas. Her rays extended over the splashing, pristine liquid, tainted only by that of salt, the moon painted the waters, an alluring liquid silver (still). Shimmering in health and beauty, the ocean seemed to take the part as a precious metal, one that could touch and stun the hearts of any lady.

Steady gaze shifted back towards the wandering she-wolf, “Suppose you have a name,” he said, gently letting his weight shift from left to right and crushing the tiny shells and pebbles against his weight. The ocean surf sank out further into the sea, no longer licking at his toes.

“Well,” striating his posture up, tossing his head so that it balanced on his neck and no longer shoulders, “I’ll do the kind thing first, and let you hear mine. But, seeing as I am male, it does not fit me. Laugh not, it is Tansy.” A placid grin crossed his lips, peeling them back as they refused to let his canines bask in the shining moon.

Golden gaze studied his body as she came forth, the silver rays of the moon danced over her dark fur. Thick strong legs held the she-wolf high over the soft, damp sand as the waves washed up and swallowed her ankles before retreating back to the ocean. It felt like the water was taking her with it, wanting her to come and join the lapping waves. Her body was contented as the sea whispered its soft tune. The shadows of the palms moved to and fro upon the beach as a chilling zephyr washed over the estuarine terrain.

Her features became warm as his soft voice met her awaiting ears, standing erected upon her skull. She listened to his words, seeing in his eyes that he meant no harm. Her high tuned whine faded, jowls split and her soft voice erupted from her chambers "My name?" she said shortly after "I have not no name, but a curse." she said with great sophistication "Its Fajera" she said with a dip of her crown.

She paused for a while to taste her words. Then soon she spoke again, but slightly quieter "Tansy" she repeated "I see no laughing matter within your name" she grinned, her tail beginning to sway to and fro as she looked back out over the waves once more, she seemed entranced by the beauty of the sea, she rarely ever trod amid salted air and water. She had lived in a pine forest most of her life before being washed away.

Her features saddened as she retraced her steps back before the flood. She had been so happy. But nay, no wolf's life is all fun and happiness. She looked back up at the male with hope, maybe he could help her. Light smile tugged at the corners of her lips.

Russet eyes, speckled with tints of coffee and coal, began to glisten in the shimmering filaments, as if they held tears of neither joy nor sorrow. He was speechless for a moment, allowing his thoughts to mull about inside his mind before came upon some type of response. Yet, before he could answerback to the female of shadows and snow, a soothing chuckle escaped his lungs from hearing her speak of a curse. “Dear-y, no one has a curse.” He began, taking a few steps forwards, trying to reassure the she-wolf he spoke again.

Tail flicked swiftly as he studied her features for a second more, “A name is a gift, and what you call a curse, is outrageous. But, dear Fajera, you should be proud you have a calling.” The male paused, his eyes flicking from the female to the rolling swells of the sea. Turning his body to face the surf once more, Tansy allowed his ears to flick forwards, his drums inhaling the soft sounds of a high-pitched song.

“Do you hear that, Fajera?” He asked calmly, his skull swiftly turning to greet the gaze of her, “they are whales; and they sing wonderfully.” Stopping his fur began to undulate with the breeze, his breathing was soft and controlled, trying to show a sense of security around the dark hued, lady. “They have names and not curses,” he said again, slowly, trying to make his way of teaching understandable. “Why is it you dub your calling a curse?”

Tansy tried to remain as in control as he could, without seeming like some type of a teacher. Yet, finally he asked her a question, one that tugged on his lip to be asked. He was curious, and as the whales began to end their song, his ears fell back against his skull in sadness. The water washed upon the shore, and the aging male took to his flanks as he plopped down into the splattering sand and sea.

Eyes caught glimpses of the swaying trees as they moved in and out of his vision, the white rays of the moon still lapping upon the sea created a second source of light; now illuminating the forests edge, though the glow was only temporary, it allowed the sandy coast to shine like steel and iron.

ooc: Sorry it took so long to reply, I was just waiting to see if anyone else was going to jump in.

Ears sharply erected upon her elegant skull as the calls from the passing whales streamed through the cold night air. She scanned over the rolling surf trying to spot just one, but no luck came to her as the sounds left them as fast as they had un-expectedly came. She looked out over the waves for a while after, trying to see against the endless darkness and the pleasant and bright glare of the moon on the surface. Her golden eyes lay once more upon the wolf that she had recently just met. Her thoughts collided at once, a soft whimper was issued as she looked back over the rolling waves "They sound almost... sad" she said with difficulty, the tone of voice she used not auditable over the crashing of waves to the sand.

Her gaze trailed back to the kind wolf that sat before her, just in time to hear his next words that made her heart sink even lower. She let him talk for a while, listing to what he had to say. She smiled, it was small, but it was a start. She responded to his words and question much better than she had expected

"Well... my siblings all got good names, that meant good things. But I was stuck with Fajera. No one ever told me what it meant until I found out not to long ago. It means wicked one." she paused for a moment to let her brows angle sadly "They thought that I was cursed. And I was. I brought a flood to the lands, it was my entire fault, everyone died" her words were jumbled as she told her story.

Her eyes began to shimmer with the traces of just maybe two or three tears, but she refused to let them fall. Fajera hated the types that winged on about themselves and cried about how devastating their lives were and such. She was ashamed to be telling him this. Brows furrowed “But never mind that." she said "I want to know more about you... Tansy" she said in a more cheerful tone.

A smile parted the males’ lips as he watched the she-wolf search over the rolling surf. He waited before it was time for him to speak again, waiting as Fajera spoke her past and worries. From behind his flanks his long slender tail began to wave to and fro, the female’s woes did not seem to bring Tansy down, for he had yet another word of advice up his alabaster hued sleeve.

Without haste, the male began to reassure Fajera. “You were only a wicked one in their eyes,” he began, taking several more steps towards her, trying with all his will that he might comfort her. “This flood, the weather, it was not your fault. Your name, your will, could not have caused such catastrophe. I see, that by your words and actions, you are not one of harm.” Stopping to catch a breath, making sure that he was able to continue, Tansy took to his haunches.

Nodding several times in succession, the ashen/ginger male let his words call out once more. “I know this for, my own name means ‘immortality’. You do not see me worried about death, no, but I do fear it and I know that I will not live forever. And you Fajera should not be worried that your name brings misfortune. Or that you are wicked in any way.” For many moments it seemed that words could indeed speak further than actions, as with all his might Tansy attempted to give his elderly knowledge away for wonderful cause. His heart began to race, with wonder; he hoped that his simple words could bring joy and understanding to the she-wolf before him.

Attempting to search for the appropriate conclusion, Tansy gazed openly into the silvery rays cast from the moon, tossing his head upwards so that the radiant beams danced upon his pupils. Failing in his endeavor, the only bit of sound that the male could conjure was a simple sigh of mystery and confusion. Though, his conclusion for wisdom was not found, he did manage to come upon a question. “What is there you would like to know about me? For then, I shall share.”
