The large drops pounded on her entire body as she ran through the lands looking for a place to rest and get away from the rain. She was now about to the cover that she had seen heading from the beach. She made it there just in time, a loud crack was heard and Sheba looked back over her shoulder... lightning had struk a tree she had been under moments ago. She sighed, happy that she hadn't been there when it struck. Another problem started to present itself though, a fire had started and was spreading faster than the rain could douse it. Her eyes widened in fear of the growing flames, she pushed herself further, harder, faster. It wasn't enough though, another tree was struck and the flames engulfed the ground around it. She struggled to keep ahead of the first fire... swerving in and out in every which way, but now there was one in front. She jumped up at the firewall's edge and hoped she cleared it, if not... well she didn't want to think about that.

She made it across and landed, tumbling from the force of the fall. She got up quickly though and kept running. All hrer muscles ached, her entire body ached from the stress of the running. She finally made it to the small cave was and went around to the otherside... opposite the flames... to enter. She slowed down as she entered and came to a halt about a yard in. She moved towards the back slowly and shook the excess water free from her coat. She sat down, panting like crazy... she was in desperate need of a drink, but was in no condition to go back out in the downpour. She layed down and watched the entrence, incase the flames chased her here. After a time she heard the rain easing and the thunder had disappeared. She finally allowed herself to drift into unconiousness(sp?).

Within an hour the old male abruptly noticed a change in weather. Large raindrops began to fall from the angry skies, and thunder roared with the rage of Zeus. His tired, straining eyes caught sight of a steep cliff, jutting rocks coming from each angle, each view. With each second the ocean grew more violent, tossing the wolf as if he were a rag doll.

Pleading, Garhuad began to resist, flailing his legs and trying to swim against the current that brought him ever closer to the jutting crags. “Please, do not take me!” He yelled, pausing in his fraught to gaze at the top of the cliff. With an up roar the sea brought forth a swell, engulfing the elderly male yet again. Down Garhuad was taken, fighting back the urge to breath.

His eyes closed at an instant, feeling the saltine sting reach him abruptly. Once more he was at the ocean’s mercy, and it seemed this time she was not about to let him go. She held onto him for one minute, two, three…Garhuad was done for.

The ocean tossed him about furiously, carrying him against the jagged rocks and pushing him against the crags. Over the course of time his mind shut off, and Garhuad was unconscious. The sea took him further, passed the dangerous cliff side and back to pebbly region in which he sought.

Suddenly, he was spat upward, unconscious and barely breathing. Spat upon the beach the water continued to push him upwards onto the sand, forcing him to roll on to the opposing side and lay mercifully in a helpless position. The wolf began to cough, hacking with all his might. Brought forth from comatose he kept gagging, spitting up the salty water as well as a recent meal.

He was out again. Still lying upon his side his ribs failed to move…

EDIT: Rain continued to hail down upon the old wolf, forcing small dents to form in his fur as well as the shore around him. Garhuad laid helpless, his mouth gaping wide open, no air being forced through either nostril; his ribs were stationary, neither moving up nor down in an effort to get air into his system. The old male was oblivoius to the rushing water about his body, but it seemed within moments his functions began to steadily regain control.

Eye lids flicked open only twice before closing once more, ribs heaved upwards in an abrupt effort to summon forth oxygen into his drying lungs. The aroma of salt and foliage was strong, but how he reached land had not conjured into his mind as of yet. Still, his being was struggling to live, Garhuad had not come across total and complete control of his bodily functions.

A paw twitched, showing that his brain had been reasigned conconsiousness{SP}. Yet, it was moments later that his jaw began to flinch open and closed. It was painful, trying to addjust the position of his muzzle, the bone lay bruised and fractured in many places, but it would heal in months if it was given proper care. Oddly enough, his sides were moving at a constant rate, pumping oxygen into his system that still attempted with all its might to rid itself of the salty water lodged within his nasal passages and stomach.

One cough, two...three. A second load of liquid and vomit was exhaled from within the male; still lying on his side in agony. He managed a hurtful call, pulling up his head only a few inches his eyes remained unopened, "S-s..." A flow of blood began to exit his muzzle, pouring onto the ground below...

It now was much more painful to breath in and out, and took Garhuad much convincing to pause in-between breaths. "Hee-elp..." He called out again, letting his head drop to the sand below; the pain became unbarable but for the moment the old male refused to let hiself swing back into the cold.
