Name: Garhaud

Age: Eight Years, Two Months

Gender: Male

Animal: Grey Wolf

Other Characters: Tansy, Sanady, Liakaid.

Mate: None.

Pups: None.

Personality: Moody, snappy, unpredictable. Just a few words that can be used to estimate his behaviors and actions that he might use in battle and conversation; at times he can even soon forget who he is. On his moody side, Garhaud is quite like any other moody creature. Near perfectly content one second, and the slightest movement or word may bring him into frenzies. Though, over all, his disposition stays the same. Rather calm but concerned about nearly everything. Usually what brings him into his little fits of uncertainty.

Once he has achieved his sate of uncertainty, and is currently confused with all that surrounds him, Garhaud is rather snappy. And rather snappy is just an understatement. In reality, this old male is quite the bickerer, and is wonderful in a dispute. Sadly though, he has lost his ability to reason, and is now on a verge of thinking things in a very odd (but satisfying way). “Agree, or die.”

Though, it is completely unknown when he will explode, it is always a wonderful idea to be on the safest side while around Garhaud. He has a very hard time understanding quick speech and fluent language, so this perhaps may be another reason for his quick, jerky attitude.

History: It was a long, long time ago when this creature began his life. But in his first moments, he was destined for pain and suffering. At the age of only a few hours at the most, a strange beast with elongated claws that could wrap wholly around a pups body, with near hairless forearms with a covered chest and hind legs. Yet, the strangest part about this creature was that it walked upright, and spoke in some strange tongue that seemed to frighten even the strongest warriors of Garhaud’s pack.

It was when this odd being picked him up that Garhaud’s misfortunate life began…his travel to the new world had begun.

Once he had arrived, he was placed with a new mother, one that smelled so strange and her fur was slick and velvety. She spoke like the wind, but her touch was nothing like the earth. Garhaud’s new mother was anything but wolf, and when he came upon the age of only a week, he soon found this out. By questioning his surrogate mother, about why he felt so wrong in this area, he found out something very important.

“You are not like I, and this you know,” she told him, “a man took you from your home, and brought you here for study; so he says. He does not talk to me, nor you nor any of the others, but only can he speak with the other man. This you know too. My man will not let you go, like I, I am not meant for the wild like you. You were stolen and so you shall be free. He wishes it not so, but it shall be.” It was within this conversation that Garhaud was rounded for a new beginning, but he would not get to see the light of this new life until his later years.

Now months into his life, the male soon learned, and learned quickly at that. He found out what the thunderous objects were that created sparks, and the heavy metal containers that carried such strange, shinny shimmering objects that the shorter, prettier men wore; with long hair they would tie it up with sparkling jewels and rocks. Garhaud’s mother called them, ladies.

Still, with all the things he learned, he never learned of the day he would be released. Now, two years old he dreamed of this day, and urged his mother to let him go. He lashed out at the men, the researchers, he attacked his caretakers and begged the other ‘pets’ to set him free. None obliged. During the nights he wept, during the days he fought.

Finally, the men grew tired of his behavior, and scent him off once more. This time, he rode in the back of a strange looking metal monster, tided into the back with a long steel chain that jingled the entire trip. Garhaud struggled for hours, trying to free himself; but stopped once his eyes saw strange trees…they glistened in the sunlight, and their reflective beams set his eyes on fire.

Taken into one of these trees, strange metal buildings he soon found them to be, Garhaud was taken off of the chain and threw into a Plexiglas room, sticks and soil littered the huge room, with the roofing completely knocked off. The wind was fresh in here, but yet walls and chains kept him inside…

He was in this strange zoo for over two years, where people came to watch him in captivity; here he made friends. They treated him like family, and told him they were born here, so they had no knowledge of the outside world…

Five years now, and Garhaud grew restless still. He pushed the caretakers nerves to their limits, with his howls for freedom and his yelps and whines for his true home. Though, he had no recollection of what it was like, to have lived in the wilderness of the northern wild for only a few mere hours.

Finally, his dream was reached. Six years and he was taken back. Back home. Though, during the last year he was taught many things, how pack life was (he was left in pack life for a few months, and studied all the while.) There he stayed.

Yes, it was time. He was free. One last trip revealed to him the wilderness and the ways of the wild…He was home.

Traveling was hard, and an empty spot held its place in his heart. Garhuad was now without a family, for, he had not clue of how to reach his former lands. After weeks and months of searching, he gave up…

A strange elder by the name of Kilaman (which oddly enough, was the same female that Tansy had met on his journeys, but, Garhuad had met her three months after Tansy supposed she passed), she told him of a land that would hold bountiful meals and many dense thickets.

Garhuad listened.

Appearance: With eyes like shimmering fields of wheat, and a nose as damp and dark as the oldest caves, Garhuad proves he’s seen his fair share of odd and strange things. His eyes hold the texture of rough sandpaper, while they still glisten and shine. Dappled along the edges of his pupils are small brown and coal-black spots, while the outer layers are bright yellow with the melting colors of gold and orange.

His coat is rough and coarse, feeling much like a poor dog gelled over with hair glue. Easily it stands on end, and since most is joined together, like the matted mess it is seen as, Garhuad was once known as the wolf porcupine. Though, his pelt colors are much different that those of any porcupine.

Dark brown and black line the top of his spine, as well as the cap of his head and the entire being of his tail. Abruptly the color turns into a bright tan around the middle section of his muzzle, this color flows all the way down his chest and slowly begins to fade back into the dark shade of brown around his mid-stomach area.

Behind his ears is a slightly lighter shade of brown, near an auburn hue, which also lines the slick outer fur of his legs. The back part of his legs are slightly lighter than the blackish brown hue of the foreparts, lining the insides of his toes is an off-white which nearly matches the coloration of his dull claws.

Extra: I just realized that each time I typed out "Garhuad" I spelled it "Garhaud"...I'm an idiot.

Keep in mind his life was hard, extremely hard at times. He has recovered somewhat, but the many tragedies continue to haunt him as emotional baggage. At any moment he is able to snap, able to recall any action or reaction that took place in his many years.
