Sheba padded up to the Forbidden Beach and looked about. She could sense no others presence around. Tilting her head to the sky she howled a song of coming and when the beautiful song was completed she lowered her head again. If there was anyone here, they would come in response to her howl. She walked along the beach and saw a large cavern. The cave's mouth was dripping with water and she went up to the entrance. Looking in Sheba quickly backed up again when a spray of water came her way. There was an underground water source and, by the looks of it, connected to the ocean. She was curious about what might be down there, but decided to investigate later. Moving away she walked towards the water of the ocean, feeling more comfortable there. She scanned the area as she moved along, there was still no response to her song. She was starting to wonder if she was the only one here... the first to set foot here in a long time. She increased her speed to a trot and moved across the wet sand.
Her silky coat was ruffled as a strong wind came through. Lifting her muzzle to the air Sheba saw that a storm was coming. The heaviness loomed about her and she sniffed the air, smelling the large amounts of water in the air, she needed to find cover soon. A few drops started to fall, small and slow at first but as they continued to fall they got larger and started to come down harder. Pushing her speed to the limit to find shelter, Sheba ran into the mainland of DamMian. She hoped to find some cover there... she had this bad feeling that the storm would only get worse. She was at her limit, so she extended her strides and her speed increased in suite. Feeling the sand disappear from under her paws as she ran, she never saw the land change... everything was too much of a blur to tell what was around. Finally spotting a place to go she again tried to increase her speed as she made a break for the shelter that was up ahead. |
