You may have noticed a moving news 'ticker' at the top of the page.

It's not necessarily a permanent fixture. Your thoughts would be very welcome please.

I like it. Just means I need to use my Twitter feed a bit more!

One thing though, it is a bit hard to notice/read. Any way you can highlight it more? Give it a lighter background or something?

Yeah I haven't settled on the visuals yet but it's easy enough to do.

It runs off RSS feeds, so it doesn't necessarily have to feed from your twitter feed. Is there a Joomla plug-in to link from your events calender perhaps (or a visual basic plug-in to generate xml from outlook)?

Calendar Feed - KoA Calendar RSS Feed
Blog Feed - KoA Blog RSS Feed

Try those. I'm not fussed which feed you use to be honest. I'm trying to work out how best to use each webtool to the best advantage. Twitter is ok but I'd prefer people visited the website for stuff rather than Twitter. I do need to update the Blog more frequently so that might be the best option long term. The event calendar on the website is the one I update first so that would definitely be a good one to include.

Cheers,

Dave

Weird. The feed works but if you click-through it gives a 404...
Investigating.

Not sure if this is feasible or not but I'll look into it. If you have a web browser capable of tabbed browsing you could always open the links in a new tab, this would preserve the order of news items.

I'll play about with the speed and colours.

The only thing I didn't like was the dark red and grey colours, they're too dark. How about lighter colours?
