What are your favourite "comfort" foods?
Mine are:
tea
chicken soup
roast chicken
chocolate (in moderation, of course!) :)
popcorn

Dark chocolate - Supposed to be good for blood pressure.
Beans on toast.
Cashew nuts.
Any fresh veggies from the garden.
French onion soup.

Beans on buttery toast (Heinz) with two cups of tea
Macaroni cheese made the way my mother used to make it.
Spaghetti aioli (my DH makes this for me when I feel ill, have a migraine or have something else nasty going on!
Marmitey-toast with two soft-boiled eggs cooked in their shells and turfed out on top. Two cups of tea.

My American wife has had to learn the joys of "Tea Time" I think she's actually starting to get it. :D
Beans on toast had to have been first tried in the garden of Eden. :P

Probably one of the quickest meals you will ever prepare.
Pop the bread in the toaster. When it pops coat it with lots of REAL butter.
In the meantime the beans have been warming on the stove. (Careful don't burn 'em)
NEVER microwave them. Ughhhhh! Not only that they explode prematurely. :D
Pour hot beans onto buttered toast and enjoy!!!! :)
