I just found this and was wondering what you all think....

Personally, even though I admit that Simon can sometimes be harsh, I don't think the show will be the same without him. :(

After seeing Crowell cruelly judge a few contestants I stopped watching the show. And I don't care for DeGeneres so I won't be watching it anytime soon.

You know, Bob,

After you put it this way, I don't have the will to watch it anymore. Seriously, I don't know how I have been watching it for the last...what? Four years? I haven't been watching the show since its onset, but for sure for a few years.
I am not a big fan of Ellen, either, never found her entertaining ever since I first saw her show.

I HATE the way AI mocks some contestants (usually those who are clearly mentally challenged). This should stop as it is cruel in the extreme and anyone laughing at it must be heartless. I am surprised no one has committted suicide as a result of the awful mocking. I like Simon as he has changed greatly in the past two years. Much softer and warmer. I can't imagine the show without him and I don't think Ellen is the person to replace him.

Me too, Rosina. :( Honestly, it really, really bugs me. I have noticed, like yourself, that Simon seems to have mellowed out over the last couple of years.

Hmmm...after having posted about the Ogilvy store in the shopping thread, I thought this was very interesting...thoughts?

I agree that Simon Cowell is brash and harsh on some contestants.

Well...as some of you already know, I love classic television shows...gameshows as well. I used to really enjoy watching The Dating Game, The Newlywed Game, Password and many other classic gameshows. I found this today and would be really interested in what you all have to say.

First the earthquake in Haiti. Now and earthquake in Chile. Reminds me of what Jesus said about the last days: "...there will be earthquakes in diverse places...". I have a correspondence friend in Chile and emailed her about the quake. She said building walls in her town fell to the ground but that her immediate family is OK. Frankly, guys, nothing that occurs in these days surprises me.

Same here, Robert. It is very sad what all those people are going through.

I believe the time is VERY short. Economic problems, disease, wars etc. I know there has always been such but they do seem to be getting closer together.

For an interesting read check out Raptureready.com Not everyone even in Christian circles believes in the particular views held by the above website (I do) but he has some interesting insights and articles online.

That is now two major earthquakes within a couple of months. One wonders where the next will be? Better sleep with one eye open I think.

This should probably be in the 2012 thread, but it is news too.
