Title: Tourist Attractions
Wren - February 4, 2010 08:54 PM (GMT)
I would be very interested in hearing your favourite tourist attractions. What are some places that you have visited that you really liked? As well, what are some places that you have NOT visited, but that you would really like to in the future?

Banff and Lake Louise Alberta. A beauty all its own. That whole stretch of highway is said to be one of the most scenic in the world and I believe it.
If there was a way to post pictures I would post a few.

Dave,
Yes, you can post images here. If you have, like I do, a photo host on the internet, such as Photobucket, you just need to put the link here. When you are posting something here, look above...you will see little buttons. One of them says IMG..that is for images.
I am posting an image now, to show you. :)

I will check that out. I know I have some online. Thanks Wren.

Banff Jasper Highway.

Hi Dave,
It didn't work....but don't get discouraged, keep trying. :) Did you click on the img code button?

Dave, let me try to help you, if I can, but in order to do so, I will need to make spaces between. You just need to do the same as I have done, but without the spaces.

No stopping me now!
Here comes Lake Louise.

Lake Louise is gorgeous!
I love the photos! Just a tip...this is especially if you are posting large images?
One photo per post will load faster than several images in the same post.
:)

Feel welcome to delete some of those small posts, Wren. Or maybe leave this as a tutorial for any other folks who might want to post a picture. It's easy once you get it. :D

 Dave! No, I won't delete them. I only mentioned that for future posts; first time posts aren't counted, they are practice. :)

Great pics. I adore Banff and Lake Louise. We are going there with my daughter and her SO of six years this summer. I can't wait. Last timem we went was when she was 4.

That will be one exciting trip, I am sure, Rosina! :D
Those mountains are so beautiful...just breathtaking.
I have never been out west.

Here in Oregon we have a thing called "Crater Lake". It is reported to be the deepest and clearest lake in the U.S. I visited there last summer (it's about 80 miles from our home) and I remember thinking "Boy, if this thing ever blows again southern Oregon and northern California will be gone". It sure is pretty up there though. I'll try to find some photos and post them on here.

Not sure if any of you have ever been to Montreal, but one of the big attractions here is the St. Joseph's Oratory.
