[Here's her MySpace]So, I post at a Tim Burton board at HalloweenTown.org (which has very lax rules, so if cussing offends you, don't go there) and recently a lady musician named Gabriela Kulka joined and invited us to go to her website and listen to an Oingo Boingo (OB being the band of Danny Elfman, Tim Burton's composer of choice and the singing voice of Jack Skellington) cover she had recorded.
So I went to
[her site] and downloaded it along with covers of "Sally's Song" (from Nightmare Before Christmas) and "London Calling" by The Clash. Simply put, I find her amazing. There is an elegant whimsical playfulness to her music. I can't stop listening to "London Calling", it is so magical. I highly reccomend it.
Her new album will be available online soon. The lyrics are online already. I didn't see any cussing, though I didn't look at all of the songs.
Soundwise...There is the creative volcals and piano cornerstone of The Dresden Dolls and the whimsy weirdness of Oingo Boingo. Sometimes she sings a whole string of lyrics in a sort of rythem, and that reminds me of early Boingo. There is also a lot of Tori Amos, though Gaba is livelier than anything I've heard from Tori.
In short,
[give her a shot.] You should definitely download "London Calling". Even if you hate it, it's just a delete away

And you might find you like it.
If you find you like her and want to tell her so, she is pretty active in the Danny Elfman forums at H-town. She has two threads there:
[this one about the "Out" album] and
[this introduction thread].
