Title: Sweden - Josefine Ridell
Description: Allt jag vill ha

thejescfreak - July 28, 2010 06:27 PM (GMT)
I don't know if such thread exists, but certainly one should b opened after SVT's decision to return to the contest after several years. It was an unexpected decision but it seems to be true.

I don't care about the result but i care abt the song, which is to b selected soon. I generally liked the Swedish songs back during the SVT era, despite bad results. It would b awesome to see someone like Limelights representing Sweden again ..

I also wonder if any news concerning the selection are (will soon be) available :P

But for now .. let's celebrate the most unexpected comeback of the year xD

Marzhoparzho - July 28, 2010 06:35 PM (GMT)
Luke (Diggiloo) said something about knowing if they'll relaunch Lilla MF Tomorrow?

The SVT era score is 1/3 for me ( I loved Limelights), and the TV4 score is 3/3, but I am of course very happy because I've seen that Lilla MF has improved over the year in such a way that I am sure that Sweden can do quite well without sending a Sandén xD I think even Ulrik could have come very far in JESC, he is hotter than Ralf, sings better than Ralf.. just didn't have an act

I will laugh when Norway and Denmark will return later.

Just seems like an automated message to me, Jesse. Lol

thejescfreak - July 28, 2010 08:52 PM (GMT)
Yeah, that's an auto response :P Israel debuting would b a total shocker but after today i'm ready for more surprises xD Its not gonna happen this year, though.

Yes me too xD

Anyway, welcome "back" Sweden meaning Scandinavia, against all odds still is in JESC :) I may be able to watch it on TV :o

EDIT: http://svt.se/2.115704/lilla_melodifestivalen_2009 I know this is old, but the news here says there won't be any Lilla Melodifestivalen this year. I think it is soooo strange they should change their minds so entirely.

Stardust - July 29, 2010 01:28 AM (GMT)
If this goes better for them than MGP, we may get Norway/Denmark/Finland in for 2011 :D

I agree Caroline, Luke said in March they told him no. But whatever the reason is, thank goodness :P Hope they win xD

I want for Sweden, the girl Marjo posted singing Satellite :P

Dream - July 30, 2010 02:46 PM (GMT)
Official I likes all songs from TV4. :D Varfor Jag was one of my favourites that year.

Diggiloo - July 30, 2010 05:37 PM (GMT)
Marzhoparzho, sorry about that :$ The organisers of the project are on holiday until 3/08 (tuesday) and 9/08 (monday after next) so I'll get in contact with the person who comes back into work on Tuesday, promise :)

Marzhoparzho - July 30, 2010 05:45 PM (GMT)
Don't worry, I can manage those few days extra, especially since Ukraine is coming up :P

I thought Lilla MF was just the national final organised by SVT. :P Why won't they organise it again? Do they have a problem with the format?

Caroline (jescgirl) - July 31, 2010 10:22 AM (GMT)
Denmark wants to change their format. Sweden just closed the LMF when there was no MGP Nordic maybe, I do not know

Google translate is not exactly super Jesse ;)

Yaaay :ohyeah:

this whole no mgp thing and different swedish broadcasters is confusing me.

so is this the broadcaster that normally holds the lillamelodifestivalen?

Erik is such a Viking name. :D

thejescfreak - August 1, 2010 11:53 PM (GMT)
@Bree - yeah, SVT is the one responsible for all kinds of MF, including Lilla MF, which has been an annual event since 2002. But only three times (2003 - 2005) the winners of the Lilla MF were granted a participation in the JESC. During the last four years (and in 2002 as well) the winners of Lilla MF's took part in the Nordic MGP, as SVT was not responsible for the JESC anymore (TV4 took over).

Bree - August 2, 2010 12:48 AM (GMT)
ok . so there is a good chance of a lilla mf this year :D

zaqqq - August 12, 2010 10:26 AM (GMT)
No Lilla MF, no call for songs, internal selection will take place, according to ESCKAZ

It's true, I got exact same info - http://escdaily.com/articles/2838

Kosm1fent - August 12, 2010 12:46 PM (GMT)
Now it's such an easy excuse; no time for a NF => internal selection. And for the SECOND time in a row... Bravo EBU, so genious.

It's their own fault for inviting Latvia/Sweden to the contest so late in the day then isn't it? :P

Of course. :P At least they should've been assured by both broadcasters that they'd follow normal procedures when choosing an entry. ;)

zaqqq - August 12, 2010 01:21 PM (GMT)
No, invitations have been constantly sent to all countries. It is Latvia/Sweden fault for accepting it so late.

Stardust - August 12, 2010 01:33 PM (GMT)
It doesn't bother me so I won't place blame :P Bring on another Mimmi :D

Yaaay :ohyeah:

He lie to me! :(
I don't know, they picked good one the previous year..

thejescfreak - August 12, 2010 10:41 PM (GMT)
@Kosmas (mostly :P) - First, an internal selection is not a crime ;) In the adult Eurovision many countries make an internal selection every single year (Turkey, Belgium) or at least sometimes choose their singer/song internally (Greece '09, Netherlands '10, '11 etc.) And i never considered those entries to be worse by definition just coz some countries don't want to (need to) organize an MF-like event.

I believe that the JESC should follow the footsteps of the ESC in that matter. It should not be important if the song was chosen by televoters, jury or whoever else, it should not matter if the singer wrote the song herself (himself) ot with the help of "professional" adults. The only important things are the song itself and the performance. That's how it should look!

Stardust - August 13, 2010 01:53 AM (GMT)
How funny, two countries do the same thing (Turkey and Belgium), and while Turkey gets it right consistently, Belgium is just fail after fail after awfulness after awfulness. Whatever they did for Sanomi, do it again.

Excuse me, but this part scares me the most. JESC wasn't meant to be this way; any kid could write a song and have an equal chance of representing its country by competing in a fair national final. Nowdays, only the kid with the most connections can win.

About internal selections; it's a shame if a country picks its representative that way, regardless the competition. But we are talking about JESC here, a contest for KIDS, and i'm pissed off that the average kid isn't given any chance to win. (whether it is a rigged final or an internal selection)

From what i see, you'd love to see JESC turned into a commercial show, like ESC. Sorry, but i hate that the most and i'll be strongly opposed to any steps the idiots' union, the EBU, will do towards that goal.

I've written all that with my phone, Jesus. xD

Stardust - August 13, 2010 04:45 AM (GMT)
That must have taken ages with your phone xD I don't think you're right about kids with the most connections can win. Was Laura Omloop really "in the loop? xD Francesca and Mikaela coming from Gozo had some conspiracy going on? (no)
I just think some countries have some hierarchy going on others don't, it's cool by me.

Pretty much. xD

Dara, those kids you mentioned won fairly. But you can't disagree that Mimmi has connections  or Sarlote  or certain Greek representatives, or Arevik, or Bon-Bon.

MOST national finals are fair, and that's good. :D

Bree - August 13, 2010 05:46 AM (GMT)
Sarlotte? what connections exactly?
