THE HOST COUNTRY



Belteleradiocompany announces the beginning of the junior contest "Song for Eurovision" which represents the qualifying round of the "Junior Eurovision 2010" international song contest.

The national junior contest "Song for Eurovision" is carried out on the purpose to select the song and performer for further representation of Belarus at the international junior contest "Eurovision 2010".

The National State Teleradiocompany is the official sponsor of the qualifying round. The selection will be carried out according to the regulations introduced by the sponsor and the terms and conditions of the contest established by the European Broadcast Union. Young performers aged not less than 10 and no more than 15 years by the day of the international contest who are Belarusian or foreign citizens or persons without citizenship and live permanently on the territory of Belarus for more than 2, 5 years are welcome to enter the competition.

The song for the contest must be unpublished, in Belarusian or Russian languages, the maximum duration of the song must be 2 minutes 45 seconds. The song must be written by the participant himself, the help of the adults is assumed.

To enter the contest one must send an application via insured box to the following address: 220807, Minsk, Makaenka Str., 9 with the note: "To the "Song for Eurovision" national junior contest. March, 30, 2010 is a deadline.

The regulations of the" Eurovision 2010" national junior contest and the application form are posted on the webpage of the Belteleradiocompany www.tvr.by ("Projects" section) and published in "Znamya Yunosti" newspaper. (№7, 12.02.2010) The national contest will be divided into three stages: qualifying round, semi-finals and finals.

The semi-finalists will be selected according to the results of the qualifying round by the professional jury created by the sponsors in April.

Up to 10 finalists will be announced after the semi-finals that will be held in June.

The finals of the national contest will take place in September in a form of a gala-concert. The winner who will later represent Belarus at the "Junior Eurovision 2010" song contest will be selected with the help of the phone voting and voting of the professional jury.

All the rights that are referred to the selection process remain after its sponsors, Belteleradiocompany.

The First Channel is the official broadcaster of the "Junior Eurovision 2010" national and international song contest.

Nice to have a look at their regulations, duck! They arent's as suspicious and stuff like expected. Although the 'help of adults is assumed' is 'typical'

Maria Isabel (2004 winner) & Denis rumored to host JESC

According to the Belarusian Telegraph Agency, the possible candidates to host JESC 2010 are Denis Kuryan (TV-presenter and author of the Belarus JESC diaries in 2009) and, in what will excite you all, Maria Isabel, the winner of JESC 2004! Alexander Martynenko (the head of the Belarussian delegation and man in charge of this years Junior Eurovision), said -

"It is not the final decision yet, but the show in Minsk may be hosted by several pairs of presenters. Among the candidates are renowned First TV Channel presenter Denis Kuryan and Maria Isabel". He has not ruled out that the entertainment program and contest slogan may be altered.

Instead of partnering with UNICEF in 2010 Junior Eurovision will aim to raise awareness of childhood disabilities and televoting funds will go towards such an organisation.

A year ago we knew that the final was begin Septmeber.. But now they wait for a long time :S. The are sure very busy with the international show. ;)

Belarusian NF news (Long time ago):

First channel of Belarus starts airing series of diaries of Junior Eurovision 2010. First of them will be broadcasted on 25th of August at 15.25 local time and will inform on the selection of the logo of the show, selection of ''Faces of Junior Eurovision'', will tell more about preparations of ''Minsk Arena'' and for the national Belarus preselection. On satellite Belarus-TV this diary will be aired at 14.10 CET on 4th of September.

NF is at 10th of September, according ot ESCKAZ.
Unless they will change it. This year it seems to be the year of chaotic dates changes, Armenian and Ukrainian NF has been moved 3 times...

Yes! This is more I like it!:D Cool clip and the girl keeps smiling and the song keeps you wanna move! This is it! The "rap" part near the end sucked, but the singing after it neutralises this.

Klishkoa Polina - Za zvezdoy
A great song, but like Guzino I dont really like to look at the girl too long.

Aslanov Magammed - Tik-tak
Also not very bad, but its not good either. I closed song at half.

I expected a lot when I heard the beginning, but disappointed when hearing the rest.

It looks there aren't really bad songs from Belarus. Tho there is not one song that is really my favorite. I guess I dont take the time to follow the NF from Belarus.
They call it Junior Eurovision, but I see most 14/15 year olds. I think they should have more younger kids aswell, to make a balance from it. Personal I like the younger kids the most.
