The poorest country in Europe ? I don't think so. It would be like wasting money to them, if they had the money in the first place ... that is, unless Belarus are willing to pay for Moldova to enter, other than that I can't see them joining

Everyone, go check out the latest post on esckaz.
Now who posted the Moldovan rumour first?! :P
Marzhoparzho - December 1, 2009 02:20 PM (GMT)
Only if they confirm you'll get my flowers Dara xD (I live close to the flower auction.. very close xD) .. but it looked pretty random to me. Huh-Moldova!? That's like putting any other random name of a country.. not as random as the 'serious' San Marino rumour though.. ANYWAY. Congrats with your serious rumour!
majorjescfan - December 1, 2009 05:57 PM (GMT)
oh that article mentions the Lithuania, Spain, and Azerbaijan rumor too
And Disney too--SPONSOR!!! with a huge amount of cash!!!!
Get those Moldovan flags up. WAVE THEM!!!! WAVE THEM!!!!

Annika - December 1, 2009 06:09 PM (GMT)
Disney?
OMG at this:

what are they trying to do?? I don't want Disney in JESC!!! I don't want "famous international guests" in JESC
I'm scared :fear: :fear: :fear: :fear: :fear: :fear:

Now that's a big "WHAT THE FUCK???"
No offence, but what does America have to do with JESC?
majorjescfan - December 1, 2009 06:16 PM (GMT)
I don't know Annika. I don't think Disney would be too bad. A little bit cheesy but it could give a needed lifeline to the JESC.
And as for international stars. well Ani Lorak might not be international but she is a big name isn't she? I'm sure they'll limit it to European stars.
And doesn't Disney have an European branch. -all those Hannah Montana movies in Europe with different local stars and stuff.
Kosm1fent - December 1, 2009 06:22 PM (GMT)
ACTUALLY...
... EBU owns the show. Nothing can change without their say. And i don't think they'll hand out the show so easily.
Sara - December 1, 2009 06:30 PM (GMT)
Bad idea, I mean Disney will give it more popularity, I think, but changing EVERYTHING?! Heck no. NONONONO. And they better not change the time, because it's always so perfect for me :P.

I wonder if they'd take Disney's money in exchange for something though but keep the rights to the show and just let Disney have a lot of say in the production.
But I guess EBU would only do that if it would benefit them ratings wise and advertisement wise.
I guess I'm so used to Disney over here in North America that it seems like no big deal to me but I can understand an huge Eurovision fan like Annika being concerned with a change like that.

Of course we :P are, Bree, JESC (if they continue calling it JESC) without any Eurovision touch on it... well, it's rubbish?
IDEA wo0t what about Disney to organise some sort of Worldvision Junior? :shifty: Without touching JESC.
Sara - December 1, 2009 06:38 PM (GMT)
Yes, Kosmas, I'd be all for that :D

Ok now you are scaring me too
I have visions of Emperor Mickey ruling the world.
Marzhoparzho - December 1, 2009 08:11 PM (GMT)
Well ... I think most of us know that JESC at this moment is pretty much a problematic kid for the EBU.. the EBU is a company as well and with about 3 kinds of contests that have already failed I know for sure they don't want this one to fail. Junior Eurovision as it is now is pretty okay and I enjoy it ever year, but I know I enjoy it because I am a true Eurovision fan, I think it's pretty boring for other viewers and it has a kind of bad reputation still.
If they will make it a big Disney show with the logo popping up everywhere and advertisements and weird merchandising and stuff.. and kids stuck to Disney contracts while they can get other, sometimes more serious contracts in their own country... I think it will take some time for me to get used to it.. And I wonder if Europeans still see it as a European show.. I think kids in Belgium or The NL wouldn't notice it that much .. but for kids in other countries I think it would be quite weird.

They're not talking about Disney buying the rights to JESC, they'd just be a sponsor. ;)
I think it all sounds good, there's only so much they'll change.
Oh and Marjo, I'll be expecting a nice bunch of flowers ok :P

Marzhoparzho - December 2, 2009 06:37 AM (GMT)
Yeah I could totally picture Katya hugging Mickey for Katya is already a doll. (That's positive) But for example if you would put Nevena next to Mickey Mouse.... :D
