Title: I LOVE THE WAY YOU LIE;
Description: Alena Neshyrr • Mystic • Shapeshifter

ALENA DESDEMONA NESHYRR

Orphaned by the Hydriads, Alena grew up with the strongest hatred for their kind
and their country, while channeling her passion towards her own rightful race, the
Mystics. During the Minervan war, Alena served faithfully as a nurse at the frontline,
though it was no secret that she was more than a little fascinated with the raw power
play and violence that constituted the battlefield. It was not long before her race once
again proved its superiority by its triumph in the Minervan war. After the declaration
of peace, Alena continued her work as a nurse in the local hospital. The emergence of
the new epidemic is now a new source of fascination for her, now armed with more
medical experience and knowledge.

friends
Hardly anyone knows about Alena's shapeshifting capabilities, besides the King.
Pretty much everyone thinks she's a regular Magician, and a decent nurse. Alena
has consciously been teaching herself how to read and interpret the emotions
and body language of different types of people, and has considerable powers of
pleasing. It is expected that she should be friends with many Mystics, possibly
some Ethereal and Nightwalkers, but hardly any Hydriads.

enemies
Because Alena has such loyalty to her King and her race, she would not seriously
offend another Mystic unless they were being especially provoking. She is rather
quicker to forgive and forget with a Mystic, than she would be with any other race.
Of course, the reverse is true for Hydriads. However, it is difficult to seriously piss
Alena off, as she has a sanguine temper, and understands the importance of building,
not burning, bridges.

lovers
Alena has not much of opinion of love in general. Her head's too full of bigger plans
and pictures to really get down to the nitty-gritty of love and relationships. She sees
no benefit in committing herself to any single person, when she has larger games
afoot. However, just like any other person with normal hormones, Alena enjoys the
one-night stands or the flings. She's very open with regard to this area, and does
not suppress any attraction she may feel to her own sex as well. That being said,
Alena's life does not revolve around sex or her flings. They are more of a sideline
interest to her. The only one person she can vaguely envision herself having a
crush on would be, appropriately, King Edward. However, Alena does not entertain
any hopes in this aspect, and treats him with only the utmost reverence and respect.

SOPHIE PORTHAVEN - I was thinking about how to incorporate Sophie into more things and since Alena is conveniently enough a nurse, I was wondering if they could be friends in some way 8 ). Firstly, it would be amiable if someone stopped her from killing herself first haha. In that case, I wonder if Alena would have seen Sophie trying to do so and then stopping her. Since Alena is a nurse, I was also wondering if she'd be interested in being the person that sort of propelled Sophie into the field in the first place? Sophie would end up in Medicae Manus and they could keep in touch through pen. Just a thought I wonder if you'd entertain haha!

AGATHA THORNTON - With her, I was wondering if Alena and Agatha could make pretty good annoyances for one another. Agatha is the type of person who's very flashy on the outside for all the wrong reasons and perhaps Alena wouldn't find her so admirable. They could dislike each other at heart 8 ) nothing hard core. Tell me what you think.

SOPHIE & ALENA
Ooh yes, that sounds great. With her overly strong sense of morality, I'm sure Alena would attempt to stop anyone committing suicide in front of her, by magic or by force if necessary. I think she's starting to develop a sort of maternal instinct with her nursely duties, so I suppose she could take Sophie in and they could have a heart-to-heart talk. I understand that Sophie has slept with the King? Is she the King's mistress? In any case, Alena is on rather close footing with Edward as well (purely platonic except for some strip and search when he's unconscious ;D), so either she could serve as Sophie's confidante with regard to this matter, or act as some in-between, or be completely unaware. It's up to you! :D

AGATHA & ALENA
Indeed, I do think that if Agatha's sentiments are anything similar to Jeremy's (i.e. anarchy-oriented) then it's very likely that Alena would be very annoyed with her, since she's close to Edward and near worships the ground he walks on because he's King of the Mystics. I can see that Agatha might think Alena almost bonkers for being so die-hard in her patriotism, and Alena would be exasperated that such a Mystic could be so ungrateful to her own ruler.
