Armaris Drawde
Honestly, I've never seen a better representation of an evil character. Seriously, this guy's one of the best villains we've got, simply because he's evil done right. Neither of my characters have gotten a chance to plot with the guy, but I can definitely say this is one character that's the best bad guy in town.

FULLY FUNCTIONAL, DOCTOR?
LOL. The thread's short, but what's completed of it cracks me up like you wouldn't believe. Semen sample, much? Voted for being terribly hilarious.

NAME OF COUPLE
lemme find a couple and come back. D: Rover please don't eat me.

ILLYRIA THELIN
Miss Illyria Thelin, a combination of wit and will that plays out devilishly well in threads. Seeing her played out in the flesh only cemented my opinion that this is a character that people will always enjoy reading and writing with. She is intelligent and sharp, the type of woman that any Victorian would usually scold at. In any given circumstance, she is likely to have a comment. That's something I admire and it's something that is played out superbly. Brilliant work thus far.

NOTHING BUT AN ANGRY SEA
There was no doubt that this thread was guaranteed to be a voracious, sexual and passionate affair. It has not disappointed. It's no surprise coming from two writers who have time and again proven that they are keen to entertain. This thread does exactly that - it's a poetic combination of lust, desire, hunger and all the emotions that come with passion. Poetry in motion seems almost too miniscule a phrase to describe this thread. Fantastic work.

GREMLIN LEFROY AND ALESSANDRO HABRYS
Consider this rather improper but I nominated this couple because I honestly believe that there is a purity in their romantic adventure. It began at a wedding where they found themselves torn between decorum and engagement and it has become a rollercoaster of revelations. Alessandro has professed his distaste for prostitution, little realising that Gremlin is one herself, while Gremlin does not know that he is in fact a wanted criminal and is travelling under an assumed name. In fact, it's gone from romance to propositions to revelations. They may not last but they are certainly living in the moment.

CASPIAN JAMES FLETCHER
--- Well, as if the fact that his play-by is Andrew Lee Potts isn't enough, he seems really cool. I can't wait to see him in action, and plot with him. *devious grin* ----

OF ALL THE MORGUES IN ALL THE TOWNS
--- Wicker alone amuses me, but Illyria is all sparkly and new, and I don't know. I just like it, kay? ---

I'll get back to you on that one, mmkay?
--- I'm working on it. ---

NAOMI HASTINGS
Another new one who wastes absolutely no time getting into the swing of things, and here she is with a swag of new relationships already. As well as being a character involved with the official plot of the board (yay, medicine!) Naomi has all of these things going for her and she's barely been around for a week. This strikes me as very promising.

SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW
I know there are two posts, and so far there isn't much to get into -- but I just have to say: these are two brand new characters roleplaying things up, each in their own darkness, fighting their own personal darknesses, conflicted by opinions of one another and the events which are effecting them in this grotesque, frightening day and age. I have to say, I adore the direction of this thread thus far, and it's barely even begun.

ILLYRIA THELIN + WICKER LIMRICK
I feel like the best explanation of why we can love these to is in their present conversation, wherein the former is implicated by her companion as perhaps being involved in some less-than ladylike activities, the sorts of things that we Invorians do for one another on a regular basis, but the kind of thing that, heaven forbid! a Victorian woman might. I particularly love the dynamic of memory in all of this. I do adore that Wicker doesn't remember Illyria, while Illyria so plainly remembers him. These two are an excellent representation of the Phoenix race and their capacity for past lives, not to mention portrayed with a strangely humorous realism by our dear friends Cole and Penny.

Illyria Thelin - May 17, 2011 05:41 AM (GMT)
WICKER LIMRICK
---Wicker's combination of earnest and clumsy is both endearing and a pleasure to read. But I just love how he just takes everything in stride, from being woken up at three am by Maitland with a scalpel to collect his semen to sudden encounters with a girl from his past life. Wicker just rolls with it. ----

THE CADENCE OF ROMANCE
--- Well this is a whirlwind affair. From just meeting to talk of husband and wife. Both Alessandro and Gremlin display a sort innocent enthusiasm for the whole thing. Both Limbo and Ian do just a fabulous job with both the characters, it's truly been a joy to read---

TAIVE x WICKER x MAITLAND
---No reason required for such epicness---

Rover - May 17, 2011 05:24 PM (GMT)
JEREMY WALTHAM
--- Because for a human, he is pretty fucking bamf. And this is saying... quite a bit, actually, coming from the wife of the man who keeps him at the bottom of the food chain. No, in all honesty, Limbo has done it again -- I've fallen in love with another completely undesirable character, human (ew!) in this case, and I mean that in the nicest sense. I love Jeremy so much that I am willing to fight him, to shut him up, to put him back into place, but this will be hard, because he is one damn good politician. The fact his wife is dead almost makes me feel sorry for the guy. I'm sure Edward would be sad if Lenore was dead, after all -- a bit more helpless than usual, but sad nonetheless, and we have to feel bad for the men who lose their superior halves, have we not? Hopefully he will stay in his place for the meanwhile so that we can admire him from this angle for a while longer. :) ----

SEARCHING FOR A SIGN
--- I absolutely adore this thread. The relationship between Eoin Rasa(half-golem with an orc mother) and Runeillious Rasa (son of the man who created Eoin's father) is a fitfully intriguing and entertaining one that I've pondered before: practically brothers, in a sense, but from two completely different worlds, come together because of Sanguis Variabilis -- and they really dislike each other. Alis and Eve are incredibly capable duo, both very talented writers, and together they really make the situation spark. Absolutely a good read. ---

ALEXANDER SAHTATHN & ARIA ST. CLAIRE
--- I simply love how dysfunctional this relationship is, how Spain and Eve pull off the angst that accompanies its drama. Banshee sold into servitude, and her master becoming a creepy crazy stalker guy, while she doesn't want to resist him but has to for her own wellbeing? I think yes. I don't mean to nominate Eve twice, but Aria's and Alex's relationship certainly needs attention -- I can't wait to see where they will be taking it, and you shouldn't either. :3 ---

Agatha Thornton - May 18, 2011 11:26 PM (GMT)
LEVYATHAN DRAGOMIR
Because darn it we're seeing him more and more now which means I'm loving him more and more. I'm a sucker for naked men in tubs with dual identities, didn't you know? Haha, more than that, I like how he's a man of no status who just goes with the flow and fits so well with Agatha in that love/hate relationship. Yet at the same time, he creates masterful pieces of art like Persephone. ON TOP OF THAT, he's played by the brilliant Rover so really, I need to just hold up wait a minute and let me put my two cents in it. I just think someone as creatively formed like Levyathan should be nominated for character. 8 ) Keep up the good work Rover!!

EMERGENCY, HOW BEAUTIFUL TO BE.
Frankly, I don't know why this thread was not nominated sooner because it's quite beautifully done and I'm not just saying this because it's Rover and Limbo. After all, I'm not exactly the primary Lenward fan on this website but the thread is by far full of all the creativity and emotion you could pour into two characters. I love the little tidbits that each of them slip in of the character's past and it adds not only to the mood of the thread but the overall interest. It becomes less about what they are doing and more about what they think of each other and their inner coping mechanisms. ; ) Thank you the both of you for writing so inspirationally.

AGATHAN
Because I can't say no to Rover. Not really, anyway.

Runeillious Rasa - May 19, 2011 01:06 AM (GMT)
Eoin Rasa
Ok so I'm going to do two things I usually don't do because I hate when people go "Oooooh you did it because it has something of yours in it or you did it cause that person is your friend." Kind of thing. So. First thing I'm doing that I usually do not at all do, is nominating Alis' character. I've rped with Alis for four years and love all her characters dearly but I have to say she really really did it this time with Eoin. I soooo love the mix of the heritages between his father (golem) and his mother (orc) and how beautifully she entwines the two. Here you have yourselves a very well thought our character who's personality and reasoning for things are just awesome and things I hadn't even thought of how he would think and act on things while she was telling me about him. Such as his father being programed to fall in love with his mother thus making Eoin take in some of that with believing there to be someone special out there for him despite how emotionally mute he may be in some areas. I also love how he is just so determined to be able to fix himself in a way by studying others emotions and putting himself in the more extreme situation to be able to feel it. I dunno. I just love him, and Alis writes him beautifully.

&& Calling Me Without A Sound
Ok second thing I don't usually do if I ever come upon a site that has nominations such as this site, is nominate something that has my own character in it. I just want to stress that I'm not out for acceptance or personal glory with winning shit. I honestly don't care. I think if people and their characters are accepted on site it means they are all winners in their own right. SO ANYWAYS! Yes. I love this thread even though its only two posts in because there is just sooooo much to it, and even though I'm a participant in it its one of those threads that I have to go back and re-read a couple times a day (its like a good book that I simply can't put down, don't want to finish too soon, yet can't help but to keep reading) because I just love it that much and love that there is so many possibilities and potential for so many emotional roller coaster rides between the two characters.

Sun-Mi Claudel & Ciaran Locke-Deoradh
Though I don't think they are yet, or might not ever be a true couple, not sure on their plotting and such, they do seem to be in love with each other, yes? At lease I know poor Sun-Mi loves him and I think I read his is more a denial and such because he doesn't want to hurt her? Either way, they seem to be on the path to near epic tragedy. Word being you know, with possibly being the daddy baby only to die from some terrible disease before the baby is even born. Sucks man. But that is the beauty of tragedies and I so love to hate them.

Eoin Rasa - May 19, 2011 01:59 AM (GMT)
EPHRAIM TAIVE
Though I honestly haven't been around as much as I'd like to meet everyone, this is one character who stuck out to me. He has very interesting weaknesses as a demon and as a doctor, the irony of which is presented intelligently enough so as not to be obnoxious in the least. The fact he is surprisingly soft for his race—to me, anyway, since 'demon' typically engenders thoughts of bloodthirsty, animalistic types—simply demands extreme hugs. And a friend, the poor dear.

THE MAD LEADING THE BLIND
One: great title. Then, of course there are only three posts so far but the sight of a friendly Rune is very, very sweet, so it's definitely one I'll be following. Strange it is—though this may be only because Eoin currently inspires nothing but hatred in him, so it's what I'm used to—the fact that Rune still manages to worry about mortality in the same moment keeps it believable. Sun-mi is also quite adorable, teasing and making light in a loving manner.

NAOMI HASTINGS & ALEXANDER SAHTATHN
All I saw with these two was on the relationship board, but: oh my. How very complex and angst-ridden a relationship this is... which is my absolute favorite kind. To my understanding they aren't an actual couple and perhaps have no intention to ever become one, but the two of them are intriguing nonetheless.

naomi hastings - May 20, 2011 01:46 AM (GMT)
Runeillious Rasa
Firstly, he looks yummy enough for me to eat, yes? xD Seondly, I find his obsession to be germ-free to be one of my favourite quirks or his. I also like how Eve has created him such that he will never be fully sane, his OCD-ness practically eating his sanity bit by bit while he struggles to perform his best as a doctor. The unconventional relationship he has with Eoin Rasa is also one of the reasons why I love this character so much. (:

Home is Behind, the World Ahead
I find both Illyria and Sethius to be two very intriguing characters. The ingenuity of this thread is how it is played in the past, where Sethius was still just a kid -cue chorus of 'awww's-. I don't think I've ever seen Sethius being played out like that, so fresh from adolescence and still wet behind the ears, yet already showing the militeristic spirit. And yes, the last post with Sethius thinking he was way above Illyria and then freaking out and transforming into his Mermaid physique was pretty amusing. xD Overall, the amazing writing of both Cole and Limbo contributes in making the thread a joy to read. : D
