I'm a 1977 Original Star Wars fan. I like my scoundrel shooting first, I like my farmboy yelling out Carrie and I like my murky old Emperor in ESB. Hell, even give me the Yub Yub song in ROTJ.

Especially Han shooting first! I don't mind getting the Real Emperor, though. I always hated the monkey-woman.

As nice as the sound and images are, I want my old films to look and sound old. That's the beauty of them. And changing things beyond sound and/or image remastering is quite low :angry:

In the scene in ESB . . . the remastered scene the Emperor looks like the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. Any minute he's going to bust out singing "We're off to see the Wizard! The wonderful Wizard of Oz!".

Not going to argue that either. All I liked about the remastered versions was that they allowed me to watch Star Wars in the big screen :)

I just wish there was ONE person in the world that remembers the scene with Luke and Biggs on Tatooine where Luke spots the escape pod as a small gleaming shooting star hitting Tatooine's atmosphere. I could possibly believe that I just imagined that scene, but where I saw it, I also remembered the Jabba scene in the bay with Han. Sans Boba, of course.
And yes, Han shot first. There is no discussion to be had on that one. |
