We had a one of those wonderful vomiting bugs in the house recently....someone told me AFTER some of the kids had already started the process, that coke stops vomiting and can kill the bug.
So I bought some and drank it for a few days - I was the only one in the household that avoided getting sick and I did not get the vomiting bug. (Even after changing, scrubbing and washing all the disgusting clothes and linen).

Say no more or you'll give the coca-cola company ideas to market their drink as a medicine!
The last thing I want to be prescribed is a ten-glasses of coca-cola, it gives me the hiccups!

It's likely you wouldn't have got it anyway, many people are very resistant to bugs... even the plague didn't get everyone... about one in three, it seems.
But I wouldn't blame the bug for avoiding Coke... I certainly do.

nar...I usually get everything floating around this household, and usually the vomiting bugs....this time I avoided it completely.
Even if it wasn't the coke that did it, it didn't matter, I'd drink it anyway!
