The Crystalli
Species: Crystalli
Tribe Name: Krystallos Paidia
Language Name: N/A
Language Description: The Crystalli communicate through a series of low-pitched grunts and bellows, which are audible to most ears. Their language is heavy in vowels, and contains little to no consonants, so most ‘words’ are long and drawn out, and several ‘sentences’ can be told in one long bellow (Ex…soooloo, koocaaa, peeeluu).
Description: These Crystalli very much resemble any other Crystalli tribe physically, identifying themselves by their quinacridone red Coorame and religious beliefs. However, Krystallos Paidia are known throughout the jungle for their massive collections of hanging mud-nests.
Leaders: The Kenyet Se'kuni, consisting of one elder for roughly every twenty Crystalli, act as judge and jury, offering advice and council when needed among the Crystalli. Their decisions are not obsolete, but is usually listened to.
Location: The northern part of the Flooded Jungle, at the base of the crystal spire, to the south of a mountain range, and to the east of another mountain range. The Flooded Jungle contains colossal tropical trees a hundred or more feet tall, but there is about fifteen to thirty feet of water submerging the bases of the trees.
Religion: The Crystalli believe that Nature is good, and all that defile or disrespect Nature are evil, and must be cleansed. In Nature, there are three deities – one for Earth, one for Air, and one for Water. The deity of Air is named Utra, the deity of Water, Agtra, and the deity of Earth, Kitra. The Crystalli, being able to soar, climb, run, and swim with ample ability, believe that they are the fusion of all three, and favoured by the gods themselves. They guard the giant crystal spire, believing it to be the avatar of the gods in which they communicate with the Crystalli. The Crystalli also believe that in death, only the physical body dies, but the spirit lives on in Nature, and they are surrounded by the spirits of their ancestors and relatives.

-------------------------------------------------------
Other Tribes
Species: Crystalli
Tribe Name: Jinu Nasitoma
Language Name: N/A
Language Description: The Crystalli communicate through a series of low-pitched grunts and bellows, which are audible to most ears. Unusually, this bellowing is of a higher pitch than most Crystalli, akin to a young human’s voice.
Description: The Crystalli making up the Jinu Nasitoma tribe are taller and slimmer than the average Cryst, with longer legs and arms more suited to manoeuvring through the tree tops, and can be identified by their sunburst yellow Coorame.
Leaders: The most intelligent Crystalli is entitled to making all of the decisions, but if the majority of the tribe disagrees, they will lose their power. It is called the Allasora, and is clothed in great amounts of fungi.
Location: Western Flooded Jungle, at the base of the Eastern Mountains.
Religion: There are appointed ‘priests’ in Jinu Nasitoma and are seen diving underwater and entering underground caves, but what lies there is unknown.
Population: 80-95
Technological Inventions: Kallosi (Two-pronged, double-sided, tridents), Fire, Rock Shards, Sharpened Wooden Spears, Fungi Clothes
Status: Close Allies.
-------------------------------------------------------

Ygooshi – Black green caterpillars which later metamorphose into black green squid, who go into stasis inside the Buug.
Sleesh - Large luminescent beetles which are hard to catch.
Jagger Flies – Large dragonflies who prey on the Sleesh and avoid the Crystalli.
Enator – Vast frog-like amphibians which manoeuvre through the canopies at breakneck speed and surprising grace for their size.
Fiig – Small flying amphibians that have evolved full wings.
Wyym – Small to medium sized flying reptiles.
Badpo – Small furry, climbing mammals, that have large ears and noses.
Keelschka – Long, streamlined, eight-legged reptilians that have taken many a juvenile.
Fruga – Tiny amphibians that have evolved to ‘surf’ the surface tension of water.
Galoom – Large amphibious primates, who camouflage themselves just underneath the water.
Sesheka – Small, freshwater, cave-dwelling spider crabs, who have an spicy aroma.

Plants
Schee Moss – Grey green moss which secretes an adhesive slime.
Klushri Trees – Vast trees that grunt at nightfall, apparently communicating with other trees.
Ujaguu – A grass-like plant that the Crystalli like to use in the construction of their nests.
Krapti Pods – Pods which release hallucinogenic spores as they are carried over the rainforest by the wind.
Hera Flowers – A flower who’s colour changes with the temperature of the environment.
Kook Ferns – Vivid green ferns which grow darker with age.
-------------------------------------------------------
The following weeks provided much opportunity for discovery – and the members of Krystallos Paidia took the opportunity. Many of the Crystalli spent a lot of time with the Crystalli of Jinu Nasitoma, bonding and making friendships – Jinu Nasitoma was now closely allied with Krystallos Paidia. The more adventurous Keeyn rampantly explored this new area of the Flooded Jungle, and noticed an unusual abundance of caves, mostly underwater, in this area – but when they approached them, the Jinu Nasitoma were hesitant, and indirectly drove them away – but the curiosity of Krystallos Paidia was not to go unsatisfied. During the next few days, some Keeyn found opportunities to dive into the freshwater caves, and explore what the Jinu Nasitoma didn’t want us to. Most of the caves’ entrances were deep underwater, but would arch back up to dry land inside the cave.

Inside the caves, there was a stunning abundance of various species of fungus, from mushrooms to truffles. These were the fungi that Jinu Nasitoma apparently held in importance – these fungi provided their clothing and accessories for their Allasora. Feeding off of these fungi were small, blind spider-crabs, which the Keeyn named the Sesheka. They gave off a pleasant spicy aroma, which tingled the primitive nostrils of the Crystalli. Despite these two advantageous discoveries, the Keeyn found something even more important. Out of the many caves dotting the area that the Crystalli explored, two held something marvellous. Deep inside the caves, in the dank rocky crags, were vast walls of a shining and impossibly smooth green crystal. The Crystalli had found naturally polished malachite.

Above, in the canopies, crafty Crystalli found that they could carve wood with crystal and rock shards, to shape branches or just make markings in the tree bark. It was a small discovery, but an important one nonetheless. With the recent influx of technological advancement, the Kenyet Se’kuni decided to settle in one part of Krystallos Paidia’s territory, so that new reports would always come to one place, for convenience’s sake. Because of this, the Krystallos Paidia became more organized, and that lead to further development – it had been decided that fires would be kept all over the territory, and the Mythallar would keep them alive and in check. Further, small patrols of Keeyn would be sent out, to lessen the chances of a sneak attack.

Diplomacy went on, and the reply to the Allasora was made.

‘Kolooo toko seeee’oooo h’uuuuuuuuuuuu k’ke’kaoo’

Translation: ‘There is something ravaging the trees and killing our Crystalli. We need your help.’ (A literal translation would read – ‘Ravaging trees, kill Crystalli, need help.)

The Allasora appeared surprised, then quickly replied. She said that she cares not about our trees, but cannot let her Crystalli fall into ruin – and if our Crystalli were getting hurt, it’d be wise to aid us so that we may aid them in their time of need. Several hours of talking later, and it was agreed that she would give us three groups of her Crystalli, either for tracking or for killing the invisible threat.

The Xivai
Species: Xivai
Tribe Name: Thanatos Fyli
Language Name: Th'kiagoll/Krthothuru
Language Description: The Xivai communicate by electric discharges, and their thoughts are directly channelled to each other's brains. The ‘spoken’ language is called Th'kiagoll, as that is the noise most commonly felt when a Xivai tries to ‘speak’ the language’s name. Krthothuru, the name of the Xivai’s written language, consists of sharp-looking scratches on slabs of obsidian stone.
Description: The Xivai making up this tribe are not physically different, but instead have a strong religion and more symbiotes than other tribes, evolving in a different area of the catacombs. They select among themselves the most physically fit Xivai, and only let them breed, and have a rigorous training routine for the youngest Xivai – the ones that fail are devoured.
Leaders: The Maculoet Essum, consisting of the Geryon and the Calypsis, who watch and direct every aspect of the tribe’s life.
Location: The Inner Sanctum of the Obsidian Catacombs, underneath the Stone Islands. It is a labyrinth of black rock and obsidian, far down in the deep sea.
Religion: The Xivai's life centre around the worship of an unknown god, who's physical embodiment is the Geryon. The god itself can be 'felt' in the deepest sanctums of the Obsidian Catacombs, where it resides as an omniscient presence, demanding the blood and lives of their enemies. The Ysugtha are lesser deities to the Xivai, not powerful enough to be called gods. The Xivai often lacerate or mutilate their own bodies, sacrificing their pain and suffering to the presence. Every time a life is sacrificed to the Presence itself, it manifests itself physically, and personally kills the sacrifice, stripping flesh from bone astonishingly quick.

Jobs and Classes
Orthos – Light Hunters
Cerberos – Heavy Hunters
Charybdis – Carcharas Carriers
Hephaestus – Colony Workers
Kanaxai – Depth Divers
Melchias – Labyrinth Spies
Velitentacia – War Strategists
Ysugtha-Touched – Ysugtha Warriors

Technology, Shelter, and Supplies
Technology
    * By placing sharp, thin, and narrow shards of obsidian or fish bones in their quickly-regenerating outer layer of skin, the Xivai of Thanatos Fyli are protected by a layer of needle-like spines.
    * Sharp, thin, and narrow shards of obsidian are tied to the ends of long strands of Bain, to make a small kunai-like weapon that can has a reach of about five feet in the water.
    * Large obsidian and rock shards are also used much like one would use a dagger.
    * The spines and other bones of fish are also used as makeshift weapons.
    * The Xivai of Thanatos Fyli have developed advanced war tactics, with the help of the Velitentacia.
    * The Xivai of Thanatos Fyli have learned to tie strands of Bain together to make crude nets, which can be used to snare enemies and prey alike.
    * The Xivai of Thanatos Fyli also scar themselves with obsidian shards, for two reasons. The first was to sacrifice their pain to the Nameless, but the second was a more practical one – by doing this methodically, they could increase the durability of their skin, and wounds were harder to inflict in battle.
Shelter
    * By manipulating the nervous systems of the Ysugtha with their electrical energy, the Xivai have been able to shape and grow small tunnels into the Ysugtha, containing various shallow holes in the wall to act as ‘rooms’.
Supplies
    * Obsidian Shards
    * Rock Shards
    * Bain Nets
    * Carne Shells
    * Bain-Harpoons
    * Obsidian-Fortified Chunk of Ysugtha Flesh
    * Large Mobile Chunk of Ysugtha Flesh (Xivai Origin)
    * Colossal Chunks of Ysugtha Flesh
Ysugtha flesh is organic and alive. It grows and reacts to stimulus. Depending on its size, and therefore age, it can be used for different things. Colossal is the largest size, and cannot be used after that.
Symbiotes
Carcharas - Eight-armed, parasitic sea spiders who have developed special classes to better compliment the Xivai.
Mias - Aquatic ticks who constantly feed on the Xivai's blood, in return secreting venoms that increase the Xivai venom's potency.
Neha - A spore releasing fungus that grows on walls underwater. It's spores are a potent hallucinogenic.
Ysugtha - Massive growths of tiny creatures, who are all tentacles and gaping maws. They live for aeons, if not infinitely.
-------------------------------------------------------
Other Tribes
Species: Xivai
Tribe Name: Veznisk Mekkerac
Language Name: N/A
Language Description: The Xivai communicate by electric discharges, and their thoughts are directly channelled to each other's brains, rendering language useless.
Description: The Xivai making up the Veznisk Mekkerac are of a slimmer, more graceful build of Xivai. Their bodies are sleek and hydrodynamic, making them faster swimmers than most. They also have a higher concentration of Mias than other tribes, rendering their venom more potent than usual.
Leaders: The Veznisk are an anarchist society, where the strongest Xivai are the leaders, and the weak are torn apart and devoured alive. They have no set leaders.
Location: The Inner Labyrinth of the Obsidian Catacombs, underneath the Stone Islands. The water here is particularly rich with oxygen, making ‘breathing’ easier.
Religion: Unknown, though the shells of Carne seem to be collected into large piles. The reasoning behind this is unknown. They also seem to have great respect for large, hollow walls, and are carving holes in it, to make it ‘sing’ with its echoes.
Population: Roughly between 110-150, though only 90-100 of the population are capable of hunting and other jobs.
Technological Inventions: The Veznisk Mekkerac use the same obsidian shards as we do, but they hold them, using them to hunt the same way humans would use daggers and spears. They have learned how to weave nets of Bain, and frequently collect Carne Shells, Dead Kakee Seeds, and the corpses of unusual fish.
Status: Allies.
-------------------------------------------------------
Obsidian Catacombs Ecosystem
Creatures
Carne - Aggressive beetles that secrete corrosive acid when aggravated.
Wisp Krill – Miniscule transparent shrimp.
Grapu – Large, spherical jellyfish.
Rakeshi – Small coelenterates that hunt by ultrasound.
Spinosus – Colonies of miniscule creatures that form spiny, rock-like hives.
Ryleh - Ryleh are dangerous molluscs, which are capable of shooting out a venomous barb to spear their prey, and dragging them back in to be crushed by their two shells.
Garon – Garon are large crustaceans who have evolved specially for swimming.
Tklaschari – Tklaschari are reptilian squid who have only three tentacles, with a powerful mouth on each end, and one large heat-sensing eye.
Seescha – Seescha are small, plentiful, amphibians which are easily caught.
Carscarsh – Carscarsh are stealthy cephalopods with a unique shape and five highly venomous beaks. They have perfect camouflage.
Goorusch – Goorusch are massive sea-cucumber like creatures that spew out a cocktail of digestive acids, enzymes, and intestines to hunt prey. They also have a special chemical beneath their skin that hardens on contact with water, making them extremely hard to injure.
Messerac – Massive squid-like cephalopods that range from the size of a small submarine to the size of a battleship, though the larger ones grow EXCEEDINGLY rarer. They generate a mesmerizing shifting colour through thousands of highly specialized light cells.
Felkeni – Small squid-like cephalopods that range from the size of a pin head to the size of a small fish. Their genetic makeup is almost exactly the same as the Messerac, and they differ only in size.

Plants
Kakee Seeds – Small seeds that grow rapidly into thorny, black vines when disturbed.
Glow Algae – A luminescent algae.
Bain - Thin, string-like strands of black weed.
????? - An unknown growth that has rapidly extended from the cavern to our labyrinth tunnels. It is hard and rocky, and looks like black jagged stone.
-------------------------------------------------------
Weeks passed, but in the Obsidian Catacombs, it was ever eternally dark. The Thanatos Fyli did not bide their time, but instead spent it every trying to advance their technology and culture. Attempts to find a source of heat in the labyrinth found a cluster of hot water vents in the colony’s territory, and several other single vents dotted around, outside of the territory. The Xivai who manipulated the Ysugtha enforced the amount of electrical energy spent, and because of this, could ‘craft’ even more complexities into the Ysugtha ‘housing’.

Besides the advancements in technology and culture, Thanatos Fyli also took more action, including delving deeper into the mystery of the vanishing Xivai and appearance of creature and Xivai-shaped coral ‘statues’. No progress was made, but two things were noticed – the first of which was that the coral-incrusted ‘statues’ were not alive in any way – even the coral was dead. A similar looking coral, the same in colour and texture, existed in small amounts in the area of water that was unleashed when the wall was broken. The second thing that was noticed was that the disappearance of Xivai was getting increasingly rare, and not becoming a huge threat anymore. Still, the prophecy of attack stood in the front of many Xivai minds, and the warriors of Thanatos Fyli were not those that would bide their time and await the attack. Instead, several small groups of Orthos and Cerberos were made to patrol the labyrinth.

Besides the technological, cultural, and organizational advancements, diplomacy was still being made in the form of several Hephaestus talking to a patrol of the Veznisk Mekkerac. Exchanges were made, and Thanatos Fyli’s envoy told the Veznisk their wish to merge tribes.

Within ten seconds, Thanatos Fyli’s envoy was dead.

Crystalli:

How do you wish to advance technology? Choose two.
A) Try assembling a new item with the current resources available. <--I'm thinking branches + animal sinew = bows and arrows
E) Start grinding small crystal shards using large crystal shards.

How do you wish to further our culture? Choose two.
A) Develop a form of crude writing, by carving messages in tree bark.
D) Organize hunting groups and tactics for specific prey.
These are both VERY important advances in my opinion

What do you wish to do? Choose two
B) Explore more of the area outside of Krystallos Paidia’s territory, possibly finding new supplies, resources, or animals.
D) Spend a lot more time creating weapons, to prepare for war.
Malachite's pretty, but not worth the hostility of our allies if we're caught. I don't trust the fungus either.

What do you wish to name the spoken language?
E) Koanjii or D) Ionuro, they both sound ubercool wink.gif

Where do you wish to locate the Kenyet Se’kuni?
A) Where all the branches of the Klushri Tree meet.

What is your next step to catching the attackers?
B) Go on the defensive. <--the enemy has steel IIRC, and would definitely kill us in an instant in open warfare. Reconnisance first, then we can think about fighting.

Xivai:

I haven't really been following up on them, so Smurf's choices are fine with me, especially keeping Grapu in the bain nets.

That idea is made of awesomesauce.

I wish the Crystalli had something like it *cough* 676.gif

The Crystalli

How do you wish to advance technology? Choose two.
A) Try assembling a new item with the current resources available. -How about strips of bark stuck together with tree sap and tied to our warriors to creat a primitive armour?
E) Start grinding small crystal shards using large crystal shards.

How do you wish to further our culture? Choose two.
A) Develop a form of crude writing, by carving messages in tree bark.
E) Create a ritual for the dead, so that we may honour them. -How about burying them, and then planting a certain type of tree over them, to act as a burial marker? Using our new writing ability, we can even mark their names in the tree.

What do you wish to do? Choose two.
A) Sneak back into the underwater caves and try to steal some Malachite.
D) Spend a lot more time creating weapons, to prepare for war.

What do you wish to name the spoken language?
B) Icriiuu -This one seems to be the most fitting, to me. And I do not want it named either koanji or Kataakanaa, since they're just slightly modified versions of names of Japanese character sets.

Where do you wish to locate the Kenyet Se’kuni?
A) Where all the branches of the Klushri Tree meet. -This will make it so that there is a type of highway to them, a kind of "All roads lead to Rome" thing.

What is your next step to catching the attackers?
A) Go on the offensive.

C) Gather more supplies and resources. - In particular, more ysugtha flesh
E) Improve the technique with which we make our weapons, so they are of better quality and quantity.

How do you wish to further our culture? Choose two.
A) Create a story about fighting techniques, to pass on to future generations.
C) Sacrifice five newborn to the Nameless, so that it may bless us.

B) Increase the strictness and effect of the training program doublefold, to create better warriors.
C) Set up a defensive perimeter around the tribe’s grounds, and put training into overtime.

C) Try to promote growth of tentacles around the entrance of the caves, to defend outsiders from getting inside.
D) Try to promote growth of mouths around the entrance of the caves, to defend outsiders from getting inside.

When a Xivai of Thanatos Fyli communicates with another being, what do you wish the feel of it’s ‘voice’ to be like?
D) Like a banshee’s scream – incredibly painful and harmful to your sanity. -Psychological warfare, people. We want to drive our enemies insane.

What laws and rules do you wish to create about necrophagia? Choose two.
A) You may eat the flesh of the dead of any race and allegiance.
E) You may only eat the flesh of the strong. (Worthy enemies and dead allies.). -Only the strong should be consumed, in order to keep the strength of our spirits pure. They say you are what you eat, and if you eat weaklings, what does that make you?

How do you wish to retaliate to the Veznisk Mekkerac?
E) Send the Obsidian Ysugtha-Touched alone to the Veznisk Mekkerac, to wreak havoc by itself. -I don't really want to waste our strongest warrior, but if we show them that a single one of our warriors can take down dozens of theirs, they'll fear us all the more.

besides the fact that if you eat the weak, you have a higher chance of getting whatever made that creature weak, i.e. diseases

The Crystalli

How do you wish to advance technology? Choose two.

C) Gather more supplies and resources.

D) Start carving up and saving pieces of our prey.

Two solid choises in preperation for the coming war

How do you wish to further our culture? Choose two.

A) Develop a form of crude writing, by carving messages in tree bark.

D) Organize hunting groups and tactics for specific prey.

These two are quite important advancements, they can also help once we go on the offensive later against our unknown enemy

What do you wish to do? Choose two.

B) Explore more of the area outside of Krystallos Paidia’s territory, possibly finding new supplies, resources, or animals.

D) Spend a lot more time creating weapons, to prepare for war.

These two speak for themself

What do you wish to name the spoken language?

B) Icriiuu

Sounds different and has a interesting sound when saying it

Where do you wish to locate the Kenyet Se’kuni?

A) Where all the branches of the Klushri Tree meet.

For reasons mentioned by others

What is your next step to catching the attackers?

B) Go on the defensive.

Going on the offensive against an unknown enemy that seems vastly superior to us sounds a bit like a suicide run so defensive is my choise

The Xivai

How do you wish to advance technology? Choose two.

C) Gather more supplies and resources.

E) Improve the technique with which we make our weapons, so they are of better quality and quantity.

Look at Seb's reasons

How do you wish to further our culture? Choose two.

B) Create more prayers and rituals to increase the effect of our religion.

C) Sacrifice five newborn to the Nameless, so that it may bless us.

Further bind religion to the xivai and thus strengthen them

What do you wish to do? Choose two.

B) Increase the strictness and effect of the training program doublefold, to create better warriors.

C) Set up a defensive perimeter around the tribe’s grounds, and put training into overtime.

These speak for themself i belive

How do you wish to manipulate the Ysugtha? Choose two.

C) Try to promote growth of tentacles around the entrance of the caves, to defend outsiders from getting inside.

D) Try to promote growth of mouths around the entrance of the caves, to defend outsiders from getting inside.

This should make whatever we store in the caves a lot safer if we start storing supplies and such in some, as it would be quite hard to raid without being heard or noticed

When a Xivai of Thanatos Fyli communicates with another being, what do you wish the feel of it’s ‘voice’ to be like?

D) Like a banshee’s scream – incredibly painful and harmful to your sanity.

Hehe, sounds evil and banshee's are quite deadly, the added harm to sanity is a bonus

What laws and rules do you wish to create about necrophagia? Choose two.

A) You may eat the flesh of the dead of any race and allegiance.

E) You may only eat the flesh of the strong. (Worthy enemies and dead allies.).

Strong is strong i belive, why deem some flesh unworthy when they have proven themself strong and thus worthy.

How do you wish to retaliate to the Veznisk Mekkerac?

E) Send the Obsidian Ysugtha-Touched alone to the Veznisk Mekkerac, to wreak havoc by itself.

There is a saying along the lines of 'don't trust an un-dented armor as its not been tested in battle' i would say the same goes for our friend here, we don't know its full use until its has been tested.

As much as I hate to say it, I'm with Gamgee concerning the Veznisk. Where diplomacy has failed, fear will take its place. We will unite as a tribe and those Veznisk that wish to dfy that plan will be eliminated.

I've tried to strike a balance between religion and defense with my choices as well. With the choices I've made we will be both strong and blessed before our enemies.

For the sound of the voice, I just think it's scarier. I'd personally be more freaked out by a hauntingly beautiful voice giving way to a terrible creature than knowing my fate beforehand. Plus it'll give us a strategical advantage in ambushes.

Edit: For the necrophagia, I guess it makes sense to eat the strong, but I really would rather not have Xiva killing off strong Xiva. If there was an option just for strong enemies, that would be different, but I don't think culling the strong is a good idea.

No, you eat the strong when they have already fallen. Also, you can choose two choices for the culture.

The Crystalli
Species: Crystalli
Tribe Name: Krystallos Paidia
Language Name: Icriiuu
Language Description: The Crystalli communicate through a series of low-pitched grunts and bellows, which are audible to most ears. Their language is heavy in vowels, and contains little to no consonants, so most ‘words’ are long and drawn out, and several ‘sentences’ can be told in one long bellow (Ex…soooloo, koocaaa, peeeluu). They have a crude writing system, which involves carving out symbols in tree bark.
Their decisions are not absolute, but are usually listened to. They are always located in their centremost Klushri Tree, where all the branches meet.

    * Vaidas, which are long vines with sharp, thin crystal-shards attached to the end.
    * Hera Paint, various coloured dyes made from the petals of the Hera Flower.
    * Crystal and rock shards are sometimes used as weapons, like makeshift daggers.
    * Fire, kept solely on one tree and maintained by the Mythallar.
    * Various foliage, dried and fresh, are sometimes used as headdresses to display the Crystalli’s status in society. Occasionally, bark is worn as ‘clothing’ as well.

Shelter
    * Large bowl-shaped nests made out of twigs, branches, shed down, and Ujaguu. Holes in the nests are patched with wet sand and mud, which later dries and clings the nests together.

-------------------------------------------------------
Northern Flooded Jungle Ecosystem
Creatures
Buug – Stationary photosynthetic growths, which house the Ygooshi.

-------------------------------------------------------
In the months that followed Krystallos Paidia’s virtual merging with Jinu Nasitoma, a variety of important developments happened. Several intellectual Crystalli among Krystallos Paidia’s ranks came into prominence, and a couple groundbreaking inventions were on the verge of being released. Those that weren’t quite as innovative, still came up with a revolutionary idea – instead of devouring the kill and bringing back small pieces for the young, the kill would now be brought back to camp before it was touched, decreasing the chances of starvation and opening doors for technology that were previously closed. When the prey’s body was brought back, some of it’s flesh was always carved off and saved, just in case. The more artistically inclined of Krystallos Paidia found that by taking sharp crystal and rock shards, they could carve lines into the tree bark, creating white lines. Although it seemed a small thing, this was the start of a written language – a colossal development for the beginning tribe.

Other small innovations blessed the tribe. A name for their spoke language had been forged – Icriiuu. Also, the Kenyet Se’kuni were permanently located where all the branches meet on the centermost Klushri Tree, at the heart of the tribe’s territory. All branches would lead to them, so to say.

Although Krystallos Paidia thrived technologically and culturally, they were in the shadow of a possible war, being stalked by a menace which reeked of metal, oil, ad rust. To prepare for the possible threat, the tribe expanded, and sent out scouts to scout area outside of their territory – they were scheduled to return in several days. With a grim realization, the Kenyet Se’kuni knew that the groups went to search for the threat were dead…there had been no signs of them for three months. Action was taken, and the Crystalli went into overtime creating weapons – crystal and rock tipped spears, and dozens of Vaidas. Krystallos Paidia knew that they were unprepared and possibly overwhelmed – but they were ready to defend their territory and Kasanua, the godspike, the crystal spire.

-------------------------------------------------------

Supplies
    * Obsidian Shards
    * Rock Shards
    * Bain Nets
    * Carne Shells
    * Bain-Harpoons

-------------------------------------------------------
Veznisk Mekkerac’s violent declaration of war on Thanatos Fyli– by shooting the messenger, so to say – was, unfortunately for them, only oiling the gears of Thanatos Fyli. They had added more violence to a tribe of zealots where sacrifices to an unspeakable terror were commonplace, to a society who’s housing had whipping tentacles and gaping mouths. Fools.

Working furiously to provide the needed innovations in technology, Thanatos Fyli changed for the better. Every day, Hephaestus were sent out to gather supplies and resources from previously unknown areas, and the knowledge of the surrounding area gradually grew. The talented weaponcrafters of Thanatos Fyli now took more care in their handiwork, making a fine balance between quality and quantity to supply the female warriors with well-weaved Bain nets, the finest obsidian shards and fish bones, and throwing Bain-kunai. Being the zealots they were, the Xivai of Thanatos Fyli also invented a veritable menagerie of new rituals and prayers, and sacrificed five newborn males to it which must not be named – a ritual which the warriors claimed revitalized them. Although religion was a large part of them, Thanatos Fyli’s preparation for war was not only spiritual – the training program was enforced doublefold, resulting in the deaths of the weaker warriors and gain of the stronger warriors. Quality was obviously valued before quantity in the tribe. Defensive parameters were set up, and electrical energy was channelled toward the Ysugtha in such a way that it promoted growth of tentacles and mouths, especially around the entrances of the Xivai ‘housing’.

Another revolutionary breakthrough came to the Xivai in the form of an accident – when a free-roaming Rakeshi was killed by a Xivai youngblood in front of a Ysugtha, the Ysugtha responded by shuddering slightly. In the Rakeshi’s moment of death, it apparently secreted a pheromone, which in turn affected the Ysugtha. If expanded upon, this idea could possibly be used to train the Ysugtha, like a human would a dog. Alas, for every technological breakthrough came a cultural one. This time, laws regarding necrophagia arised, and it was said that only the flesh of the strong could be desired sacrificially. If a worthy enemy was slain, or a strong ally was killed, their flesh could be devoured to pass on their traits to the devourer.

Thanatos Fyli’s last action was to send the Obsidian-borne Ysugtha-touched to the Veznisk Mekkerac’s territory. A solitary warrior. A daughter of the Nameless. A harbinger of death.

Which prey do you want the Timaeus, Critias, and Vexeni to specialize in hunting? Choose two.

D) Galoom. <--I think that learning to spot these will enhance our general hunting/stealth skills
E) Sleesh/Fiig/Badpo/Fruga/Sesheka.<--lots of cheap and easy sustenance

What tactics do you want the Timaeus, Critias, and Vexeni to hunt with? Choose two.

B) Stealthy and quiet, to surprise the prey.
C) Organized, with a lot of formations and shapes.
Nothing is scarier than an organized stealth party

What is your next step in the possible war? Choose two.
A) Search for any sign of the attackers, but only within fifty metres of the territory edges.
B) Keep the defense strong, and stock up one resources and supplies.

The Crystalli

How do you wish to advance technology? Choose two.
C) Gather more supplies and resources.
F) Wrap saved pieces of meat in leaves, to preserve them longer and protect them from infection.

If we want to stand a chance against an enemy with far superior technology and numbers than our own, we'll need to be prepared. These two will help in guerilla warfare, which will be our best chance against them.

How do you wish to further our culture? Choose two.
A) Enhance the written language by developing a ‘feel’ for it.
E) Create a ritual for the dead, so that we may honour them.

How about burying them, and then planting a certain type of tree over them, to act as a burial marker? Using our writing ability, we can even mark their names in the tree. Also, since we will be relying on the cover of trees to fight, this will help regenerate cover lost from deforestation

What do you wish to do? Choose two.
B) Prepare a training regime to promote fitness and health among Krystallos Paidia.
C) Focus on increasing our population, expanding our territory as well.

Training will help prepare us for the battles to come, and expanding our territory will mean that we have more room to move around in.

Which objects do you wish to invent? Choose two.
B) Hollow out pieces of light wood with sharpened rock/crystal shards to create extremely primitive atlatls.
E) Hollow out pieces of light wood with sharpened rock/crystal shards to create extremely primitive blow pipes.

The creation of bows would mean we would need to also create arrows, while with an atlatl (spear thrower), we already have ammunition. Blow pipes are the most stealthy weapons we can currently create, and could be incredibly potent if we can develop poisons.

Which prey do you want the Timaeus, Critias, and Vexeni to specialize in hunting? Choose two.
C) Keelschka.
D) Galoom.

It's time we got revenge on the Keelschka for killing our young. Also, due to their strength, they'll make excellent training. As for the Galoom, see Nox's vote.

What tactics do you want the Timaeus, Critias, and Vexeni to hunt with? Choose two.
B) Stealthy and quiet, to surprise the prey.
C) Organized, with a lot of formations and shapes.

To defeat our foes we will need to make effective use of stealth and tactics to ambush, outmaneuvre, and surprise them, and to demoralise them.

What is your next step in the possible war? Choose two.
A) Search for any sign of the attackers, but only within fifty metres of the territory edges.
B) Keep the defense strong, and stock up on resources and supplies.

Xivai votes coming soon.
