Physical Description:
Tessa has long brown hair that's a bit wavy and her eyes are hazel. She's not very tall but not too short either. She stands at about 5'4" tall and weighs about 105 lbs. She's skinny but curvaceous. Tessa doesn't consider herself to be pretty, though others have said she is, instead she believes herself to be very plain and boring. She has a small face that seems even smaller when her hair is down and freckles that go across the bridge of her nose.
Tessa is very petite but still has very feminine curves. She doesn't like this to show, not that it ever does beneath her school uniform. She has a very sweet smile that is almost never seen being as shy as she is. Her hazel eyes are slightly almond shaped and she has a small nose and a dimple on her right cheek.
Tessa's brown hair tends to get very frizzy and unmanagable so she tends to wear it up in a ponytail to keep it out of her face. Although sometimes she does keep it down. She hates her hair being frizzy and is always fussing with it. She wishes it was straight rather than wavy.

Personality Description:
Tessa is a very quiet girl who tends to keep to herself. She's very shy until she gets to know someone then she'll open up a bit. She's very care-free and fun-loving. She enjoys life to its fullest and tries not to let things get to her, though sometimes they do anyway. Tess tries her best to stay out of trouble though at times this proves to be a difficult taks for the young girl. It seems that no matter what she does trouble seems to find her anyway.
When it comes to classes Tess is a hard worker and tries her best to keep up with the rest of the class. Her grades are alright. She's not a straight A student by any means but she does alright and somehow manages to pass her classes. She hates homework and tends to put it off until the very last minute but it does get done. She's not overly fond of school but does it because she has to. She does, however, enjoy learning new things especially when she finds a subject that can hold her attention for more than a couple of minutes.
Tess is a bit of a tomboy and doesn't like any "girly" things. She'd much rather hang out with the boys than the girls. She also enjoys reading and spending time alone walking around the school grounds.
History: Tessa is the second eldest of 4 children. She has an older sister and two younger brothers. She was born in northern England to a muggle named James and a witch named Elizabeth. When Tess first learned about her abilities she knew her life would be very different from that of the other girls in her village. She knew she would have to keep her talents a secret from all to avoid persecution.
From a young age Tess showed signs of having magical abilities just as her mother and sister did which pleased her mother to no end. Elizabeth wanted all of her children to learn everything they could about magic and was very excited when she heard about Hogwarts opening. She immediately decided the children should attend.
James, however, wasn't sure if this was the right thing to do. After all, they lived in a time when magic was frowned upon (to say the least) and witches and wizards were always being persecuted. He was afraid that his children would be burned at the stake for practicing magic. But Elizabeth convinced him that the children would be perfectly safe at Hogwarts, though she herself was unsure of this.
Tessa was a little uneasy about attending the school. She wasn't sure if this was the right thing to do. She knew her father feared for her life. But after discussing it with her mother and knowing that her sister would be there with her Tess felt a bit better about it. She and Emma were sent to Hogwarts where they would begin their studies in the magical arts.
RP Sample:
Tessa starred up in awe at the enormous castle that loomed before her. She had never seen anything like it in all her life. There was no telling what she could expect here. Never before had anyone seen or heard of a school like Hogwarts. This was a completely new concept. The school had only just opened a few years previous to Tessa's arrival.
"Look at this place, Tess," said Emma, "Isn't it amazing?" Tessa turned to her sister. "Yes, it's incredible," she said, "And we haven't even seen the inside yet." "I wonder what it will be like here," Emma said. Tessa could only imagine. Never in her wildest dreams had she ever pictured a place quite like Hogwarts.
The two girls followed the small group of students who were now entering the castle. As they stepped through the massive oak doors Tessa's eyes lit up. The entrance hall was amazing and quite large. It seemed that the castle was much larger on the inside than it appeared on the outside.
Ahead of her was a wide marble staircase leading to the first floor. On either side of this staircase there were two doors, beneath her feet was a flagstone floor, and overhead was a ceiling so high it was barely visible. The imposing entrance hall was lit by torches on the walls.
Tess starred wide-eyed at her surroundings. If this was the entrance hall, what did the rest of the castle look like? "Can you believe this, Tess?" Emma said. Apparently she was just as amazed as her sister. "I've never seen anything like it," Tess replied, "And this is only the entrance hall." They couldn't help repeating themselves.
Everything was so new and exciting to these two young girls. To think they were going to be spending most of their time here...was almost beyond belief. Tess wondered if she's have a chance to explore the castle and the surrounding grounds. She wondered what sort of things she might discover here.
As the girls looked arooun with the other students at their new surroundings four people came out to greet them. The introduced themselves as Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Salazar Slytherin, and Helga Hufflepuff. They explained to the children that they were the founders of this school and told them that they would now be divided into four separate houses. Tess and Emma looked at each other. They hoped they wouldn't be separated.
The man who called himself Gryffindor now lead the children into a room to the right of the entrance hall. This room was even larger than the first. There were four long rows of tables set before a dais that held another long table. The four founders went to this dais. Gryffindor stood before the children and asked them to be seated. "And now," he said, "Let the sorting begin!"
