[Draco Malfoy]

Draco had left Lucy and Harry to do whatever it was they were going to and headed straight to his office. He couldn't bear the sight of them together any longer. Keeping his wand right at his side he entered his office slamming the door shut.

Sitting at his comfortable black leather chair he placed his feet up on the desk tapping his wand to his chin. "What curse could I use. Avada Kedavra would be good, quick and almost painless. Only one I know of." He thought continuing to play with his wand.

Pulling his shirt sleeves up he raised his wand slicing a deep cut into it lengthwise, blood gushing out slowly. It hurt like hell but the pain was therapeutic to his aching soul so he did it again to his other arm then placed his wand on his lap and lay back into the chair as the blood poured out and he went a little numb, the world slowly beginning to spin around him. Being almost completely out of it he didn't even hear the door opening. . .

Midori had followed after Draco. She couldn't stand to see the two so in love when she didn't have anyone. All she wanted to do was talk to him.

"Draco?" She said softly. Then she saw the blood. "Oh, Draco!" She raced to him, and began healing his arm. He yanked it away from her and slapped her across her face. It hurt her more emotionally then physically. "Draco, please... I just want to help you. I don't want you to die." She kept coaxing him and she was finally able to aim her wand at his arm and heal him. "There." She sat down on his desk, tears streaming down her face. "Draco, look, I... I'm sorry for what I did earlier. I know you hate me, you've made that bloody clear. But I have no one to talk to. Sure, I could speak to Bella but she's a few decades older then I am and she doesn't understand. I'm sorry for what's happening to you Draco, and I'm sorry that I've been badgering you about the children and I'm.... I'm so sorry. So, so sorry. I should be the one killing myself, not you." Midori put her face in her hands, sobbing. "I'll go now. All i wanted to do was apologize." She started to leave, hoping Draco would call her back... even though she knew he wouldn't.

Draco barley heard Midori walk in. "What the hell do you bloody want, you've already ripped my life to shreds, made my wife all but hate me. Get the hell away from me Midori I'm through with this life." He said pushing her away not wanting her to touch him. "I told you Sam's waiting for you. You'll be bloody lucky if he takes you back. I sure as hell wouldn't."

He watched her head towards the door, his eyes seething. This woman had caused more pain then she was worth. "GO NOW!" he yelled tossing a book in her direction. "Before you make me regret not killing you myself. Course when Sam gets ahold of you." He chuckled sinisterly.

As she left he resumed cutting himself. The feeling was like no other. "This would be a good way to die. Hardly feel a thing as the blood and life are slowly sucked out." He said to himself. Pulling one of his drawers out he found a bottle of firewhiskey and unscrewed the top taking a long sip.

[Lucy Raven Malfoy]

Lucy was just walking around when she heard yelling coming from Draco's classroom. Ginny was back, so Harry could go with her, and Sam was back for Midori, that left her and Draco, although she wasn't sure at all where they stood, or even if Draco hated her. Then again, if Harry didn't want Ginny...

As soon as she heard the yelling Lucy started walking a little faster. She saw Midori walked out and completely ignored the girl. Then she pushed the door open. When Lucy saw him cutting himself she wasn't sure if she should let him know that she was there or if she should sneak back out. But she couldn't leave him there to die.

"Draco, don't..." She said, just loud enough for him to hear her. "It may seem like the easy way out, but it's not. Please don't do this to yourself." She walked closer to him, drawing out her wand to try to help heal him, walking slowly since she didn't know how he would react to seeing her.

Draco heard Lucys voice just barley. As she approached him he could have sworn there was a halo wrapped around her, blanketed in white. Then again it could have been the firewhiskey and loss of blood."Luc?" He called out feeling a light touch as she worked on his arm. "No it couldn't be. That would mean everythings alright." He hiccuped. "And that my dear is faaar from the truth." He said taking another long sip of his firewhiskey.

"So Angel, tell me will my wife ever return to me. Or has she condemned me straight to hell for my previous bloody stupid sins. If I could just hear her voice, just feel her touch one last time, to know she's forgiven all my sins and doesn't hate me. I could die a happy man! I love her terribly, I don't know what I would be without her. Now where in the bloody hell is my wand. Perhaps if I tried I could zap her here you know." He said babbling wondering why the angel was still there listening to him. His vision focused a bit and he shook his head trying to see more clearly.

Midori stayed in the room, sobbing uncontrollably. "Draco! I know what a bitch I've been! I know it and I'm sorry! I'm so, so sorry! I know it doesn't mean anything to you, but it does to Lucy! Just talk to me Draco! Please! That's all I want...please..."

[Lucy Raven Malfoy]

“Draco, everything IS going to be alright.” She finished healing his arm and put a few bandages around it. Then she took his firewhiskey and wand. Lucy threw her firewhiskey away, and laid his wand on his desk.

“She could never hate you. No matter what, she will always love you, and she can't stand to see you like this. It breaks her heart to see you cry, to see you upset and in pain. And she wanted me to tell you that.” She ran her hand threw his hair for a little while before resting the hand on his cheek, the other taking one of his hands and laid their hands in his lap, kneeling beside his chair. “What's meant to be will always find its way.” She whispered.

Draco was even more chocked up hearing as heard the angels words of comfort. "Rreally? Sshe doesn't hate me? Oh thank heavens, sweeter words were never spoken."

Feeling her touch Draco was awakened from his weakened state to see his wife standing by his side. "L. . lucy?" He asked seeing her hand caressing his cheek. He could hardly believe she was there, with him after all that had just happened. "You're here, you're really here. Oh Luc." He said leaning down covering her face in kisses. "I knew you'd come back to me. I'm so sorry, I almost did it, I tried to kill myself but an angel stopped me and now here you are. I truly cannot live without you. This feels to good to be true." He said praying hard it was not.

Lucy gave a small smile. “Why ever would she hate you? She only married you.” She said.

“Glad you noticed that I'm here. You've only been talking to me for the past few minutes. “She joked with him, desperately wanting to see the smile that melted her every time she saw it. “I know you did, I know you almost killed yourself. And I can't believe it. After everything you've told me about cutting and suicide, you turn around and do it?!” She was mad that he would even try something, but knew the addiction to cutting only too well. “Promise me, look me in the eye and promise me you won't do it any more. I love you Draco, I always have and always will!”

"Because I've done awful things. She deserves soo much more then me." He said knowing it was the truth.

"Oh, well don't I feel foolish." He grinned slightly shaking his head. "Oi its been a day, feels more like a week to be bloody honest with you." Draco scratched his head feeling foolish. "Yes well it was my only choice. I must say the pain felt quiet releasing after everythingelse I've been feeling." He looked away from her for a second not wanting to lie to her.

"Alright I promise I won't cut myself again!" He said finally turning to meet her gaze. "I love you too Luc. I've never stopped, ever. What would I do without you little one?" Picking her up he scooped her into his lap leaning his head against her shoulder.

"Love works in odd ways." Lucy said honestly.

"Now, now Draco. Don't lie to me either. I know when you're not tellling the truth." She took his face in her hands and looked him in the eyes, even though he still was trying to avoid her gaze.

"I love you too." She whispered sofly, petting his head. "No matter what happens, I want you to know I'm always here for you, and that I will always love you."

"Yes fine fine I promise I won't.. . there are other ways you know." He said only half to himself.

Hearing her thoughts mingled with her words Draco paused realizing there was a lot more to her statement then she was saying. "Yes well, glad to hear it." He rose gently helping her up. "I must be going now. Things to do, I am after all a teacher here am I not. I suppose I should brush up on my lessons mustn't I. I've been away far too long." He was blabbering and he knew it but he didn't want to hear her thoughts anymore as they betrayed her. "Thanks for stopping me, bloody hell what was I thinking?" Scooping up a handful of papers he tucked them in his arm then opened the door for Lucy. "I'll be in the forrest grading these. I could use the fresh air."

Lucy took his hand. “Draco, you know what I meant.” She said seriously. “I don't wanna find you hurting yourself...OR killing yourself...do you understand me?” It really broke her heart seeing him like this, and broke her heart even more knowing she was the reason.

“Are you sure you're alright?” You could see the hurt in her eyes, and the worry she had for him. “I mean...you did loose a lot of blood, and a lot has been going on lately. Take it easy. I'm always here if you need anything, I've been down the suicide road plenty of times, I know what it's like.” She really did love him, and it really did hurt her to see him like this, but there wasn't really anything she could do if he didn't want to be her friend anymore, although she couldn't blame him.

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco felt the soft touch of her hand. The act alone brought him so much comfort, but he knew her. She was his wife after all and the thoughts circling in her head were so confused, so much pain among other emotions. "Luc, I promise you won't find me trying to do this again."

"Yes yes of course I'll be fine I'm strong you know." He said trying to convince himself as well as her as a warm fuzzy dizzy feeling came over him. Shaking his head he blinked his eyes trying to clear his vision as he held on a little tighter to the door handle.

"Luc. . . help. . . " Papers fell to the floor a moment later and he could feel his body sliding down the door colliding with the floor before he blacked out.

[Lucy Raven Malfoy]

She tried soothing him the best he could. Lucy just wished he would talk to her, but knew it had also taken her forever to open up to him...and it was the very night that he had proposed to her. “And are you going to break this promise?” She asked, tears welling up in her eyes. It seemed like only yesterday in which he had told her that some promises were made to be broke, and she didn't want this to be one of those promises.

“I know you're strong, but even the strongest people have weaknesses. Look at superman. He could walk through fire without getting burned, but Kryptonite could easily kill him. Don't push yourself to hard.” Lucy knew she would have to watch him, and make sure he was alright, and she noticed he was acting odd.

Once Draco hit the floor she was by his side, crying once again. “Draco! Draco! Come on, don't do this to me! Come on baby!” She was horrible with magic, and hadn't the slightest clue when it came to medical stuff. It was usually her on the floor out cold, and she had nothing to do. “Come on, Dracy, don't do this to me. I know you're in there. Sweety, please wake up!” She sat next to him and pulled his head up in her lap, conjuring up a wet rag to put against his head, praying someone would come by and help her. The papers were all forgotten, all she cared about was him. And, thinking hard, sent a patronus, hoping it would reach someone.

[Ginny Weasley]

Ginny had been walking through the halls unsure of where she was truly headed seeing a patronus pass by she quickened her steps heading in the direction it was telling her. As she neared Dracos classroom she heard sobbing and rushed in wondering what was going on.

Looking from Lucy to Draco she knelt down beside Lucy. "What happened?" She asked a look of concern written all over her face. Draco had always been a friend to her. Feeling his head, seeing his stark white color she was terrified. He was dying from a massive loss of blood. Seeing the look on the young mothers face she put on a brave face not wanting to tell her how serious it truly was until he was safe. "Come on, we've got to get him to the hospital wing."

Getting back on her feet Ginny drew her wand muttering "Mobilicorpus." Immediately Dracos body rose up as if on a gurney and she walked slowly making sure to keep her wand poised just right so he wouldn't drop. "I'm going to need you to be my eyes because I can't tear my eyes away from him or I'll drop him."

When Lucy saw Ginny she was a bit hopeful. She knew Ginny probably hated her but right now hopefully she could look past that to save Draco. Then Ginny asked her what happened, and Lucy was going to answer honestly. “I walked into his classroom, he was cutting himself and drinking. I tried healing him but I'm not good with medical spells. He tried acting like he was fine and then just..passed out...” She wiped her face with the back of her hand.

“Alright.” She nodded to getting him to the hospital wing. When Ginny started levitating him, she admired the older student, how she kept a level head and all. “O..ok..” Lucy nodded to being Ginny's eyes. She told her if either her or Draco was about to hit something or a wall or whatever.

[Ginny Weasley]

"Bloody hell." Ginny groaned hearing Lucys explanation. "I swear when he wakes I'm going to. . . well shit I don't know what I'm going to do. I suppose just talk to him, try and help him in anyway I can." She shook her head. "I've never seen him this bad before. . . what happened with you two? If I may ask." Last she'd heard Draco and Lucy were back together and he was finally happy again but now. . .now he looked so sickly it killed her knowing if he didn't get the proper treatment he would die.

"It will be alright Lucy." She said as she walked with the girl carefully taking Draco along with them. "Just so you know, theres no hard feelings between us." She said wanting to clear the air. "What Harry did was his fault and his alone. I don't hold you responsible. I dare say if it wasn't you it would have been someonelse." She groaned as Draco just narrowly missed hitting his head on the corner. If it hadn't been for Lucys warning he would have been much worse off. "Thanks."

Seeing the wing so close by she called out for Madam Pomfrey. "Help! We've got a sick man." She yelled.
