feel free to add a comment on a band some one as added.

Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine
I think we all know who they are, and heard the song. I do enjoy Sweet Child O' Mine, as just goes to show how good Slash is. Also, I am looking forward to the (finally) soon to be released Chinese Democracy. Hopefully the 17 years its been in production has made for a good release.
Lux - November 9, 2008 05:03 PM (GMT)
i put the two topics together as they where the same.
King Jimmeh - November 9, 2008 05:49 PM (GMT)
I didn't see another like this topic to be fair.
Anyways:
Fuel - Leave The Memories Alone
Have been a fan of Fuel for quite a while. Pretty much my favourite sort of band. Heard the song first for a tribute to wrestler Ric Flair when he was starting to come to end of his career and his induction into the Hall of Fame:

Versailles Philharmonic Quintet
I feel it's actually my duty to post this. I represent this band in the UK.
They're one of Japan's biggest new Visual Kei acts. They have been quoted as being like Dragon Force, only more serious. And as Nightwish, with male vocals. They're also considered the revivers of the Visual Kei scene. AND to top it all off, to follow in with my Vampire craze, their gimmick is that they're actually french aristocratic vampires. Their debut album, was even named "Noble - Vampire's Chronicle". Linking them into the Anne Rice novels that Kamijo (the lead singer) is meant to like so much.
They're aggression and beauty so tend to appeal to both men and woman.
Please watch. I hope you enjoy.
This is Aristocrat's Symphony. (Please note that this song has a longish intro, they are a symphonic metal band)
Aristocrat's Symphony PVAnd G-man, I recommend this to your lovely lady. Kamijo is a living, breathing Japanese Lestat. **nods** (He's even considered as Japan's answer to Lestat.)

Cool. Glad you liked it.
What's everyone's survival bands then? The bands you couldn't live without?
Mine are probably. Sadie, Deathgaze, Lynch, Screw, Unsraw etc. All heavy Visual Kei bands.

I used to be crazy about Nirvana. Back in the day. I tend to get bored of a band that doesn't bring out new music though. I like to get all excited when new albums come out. Though in the case of my survival bands which have had a burst of activity, I had to RACE to get their cd. I'm still not sure if I have Lynch's new album. It came out a few weeks ago and is already sold out. T^T
Haha. It wasn't what I imagined would happen. I always said I wanted more people to buy their album. But I didn't want so many people to buy it that there wasn't any left for me. I'm waiting for that dreaded message from Yes Asia "I'm sorry, due to lack of stock we were unable to forfill your order. We have refunded you in full." I'll probably cry. I guess that's what happens when a band only releases their album as a limited edition. Stupid really though. Especially for a first album. I don't want to have to resort to downloading it. /End rant.
Also, Daft Punk rock.
snoops619 - July 15, 2009 02:57 PM (GMT)
Yes, yes they do.
And yes, I get bored of Nirvana too, but I go in and out of phases of loving them.
Nova - July 15, 2009 06:18 PM (GMT)
Gackt!
I watched videos today and I think I have Gackt burned into my retina.
MR-X - July 16, 2009 06:13 PM (GMT)
Survival bands?
i wouldn say there are bands i couldn live wiv out, but there are bands which i consider to be motivational 4 me (more in the gym for any matter)
mine would be :-
LINKIN PARK
PAPA ROACH (his new album is wicked)
need some angry stuff down there instead of soppy pop crap of some skinny waif bouncin off the walls wiv a high pitched voice (its like watchin the soddin news its jus borin :o )
dont mind some lively stuff (old school preferably)

I always liked them but now am slightly more obsessed since seein em live. Oh and i love MUCC, and there playing in the UK :) Life is good.

I saw mucc in my home town err....either last year or the beginning of this year. They were amazing. Although their music wasn't right for the ToC tour, so they were treated badly. We got autographs and shook their hands and thanked them afterwards though.
When are they coming back? I haven't heard about it. They come here quite a lot.
As for Gackt. Yes. He is. But it's typical of Japanese music right now. Money money money, using any and every underhanded method they can.
Whoop!! I'm seeing D'espairsRay this weekend. So excited!!
Mogget - September 9, 2009 10:16 AM (GMT)
Gogol Bordello :D they are a multi-ethnic Gypsy punk band lol!
Nikolai Gogol, the band's namesake, was an ideological influence because he "smuggled" Ukrainian culture into Russian society, which Gogol Bordello intends to do with Gypsy/ East-European music in the English-speaking world. "Bordello" refers to a brothel or a "gentleman's club".
...........They sound like Pirates! ;)
Gundam Freak - October 9, 2009 10:47 PM (GMT)
I guess the one song has to be Muse - Unnatural Selection from the new album!
Though I have been listening to a lot of different stuff lately!
Muse - Unnatural SelectionGreat song :D
Bunshinsaba - October 10, 2009 04:50 PM (GMT)
Been listening a lot to the new Atmosphere CD When Life Hands You Lemons, You Paint that Sh*t Gold (got me through a particularly trying hour of admin at the bank today too lawl) and Nothingface's An Audio Guide to Everyday Atrocity mainly this week, bought them last week and just getting my head round 'em atm. Both are well worth checking out, especially the Nothingface disc if you like in-your-face rock with really dark lyrics.
snoops619 - October 11, 2009 06:09 PM (GMT)

Dir en Grey! Nice ^^.
I love the fact that they just keep improving their work. There's not a lot of bands that keep improving their material as they get older and more mature. I've gotta pick their most recent CD up sometime soon ^^
