overall personality: The war in the homelands took quite a toll on Cally. It took her whole family from her, not to mention her best friend Flounder. She still hates anything to do with war and hatred. She looks up to Edolie Forrest because, she never really had a mother. The sea was her mother and now, it just seems so dead in the New World due to pollution. That brings up another point of Cally's personality. She's a huge tree hugger.

Cally always has some shade of green on her body,whether you see it or not. She tends to love all things in nature and nature itself. Since she doesn't believe that killing animals is right, she is a vegetarian. Of course, she doesn't eat fish. It disgusts her how many people do. Though she keeps those opinions to herself. Much like she keeps her emotions private.

Cally is far from the outgoing girl she was in the homeland. She is much quiter, more reserved now. She hides her feelings well behind a mask of joy and stubborness. Though, she is having huge doubts about her relationship with her boyfriend Hans Fallon. She wants to join the peace corps and go everywhere after college. Cally wants to make a difference but to her, Fallon only seems to want her as a housewife and mother. She just thinks he doesn't see her right anymore. Her feelings tell her to move on but, her heart won't let her break his.
