1. What will is FF3 about?
The game follows the Rei Kurosawa, a 23 year old freelance photographer who has just recently taking a job taking pictures of a haunted mansion. Shockingly, the image of her dead fiance, Yuu, who was killed in a car accident, appeared in the photos. As she investigates further and further into the mansion, she notices a strange snake-like tattoo appearing on her arm. What's worse...some of the ghosts in the mansion also have the same tattoo...

2. Will Miku be in it? Why does Miku have her powers back?
Yes. Miku will be one of 3 playable characters in the game.
I have no clue as to why Miku has her powers back. It's not really explained, but then again, most of this game takes place in the dreamworld, so I don't think normal rules apply.

3. Will Mio & Mayu be in it? How old are they?
Mio is in the game. With Mayu, it's debateable, but she is in a photograph & mentioned frequently. Both girls are still 15 years old.

4. Is the FF3 Camera a new camera? Or the FF2 camera?
There is debate among fans about this. Depending on how you interpret the notes, but most likely the FF3 camera is a completely different camera and not the camera from FF2.

5. Is Rei Kurosawa related to Sae & Yae?
No. Rei's last name seems to be just a 'nod' to the Kurosawa family, but she is not related to them. In fact, none of Rei's family or connections are mentioned in the game or in Japanese gameguides. However since Sae died before having kids, and Yae's family tree runs directly to Miku, she's not related to either girl.

6. Is Kei Amakura related to Mio & Mayu?
Kei is Mio & Mayu's uncle. Shizu Amakura's younger brother.

7. Is Kei related to Dr. Aso(u) too then?
No. Mio & Mayu are related to Dr. Aso(u) through their father, Misao Aso(u), Kei isn't related to Dr. Aso(u).

8. Is Yuu related to Dr. Aso(u)
Yes. This is 'hinted' at in the game, but confirmed in the official FF3 gameguide.

8. Are Yuu & Misao related, if so, does Kei & Yuu know they're family?
Misao & Yuu's relationship is never made clear. They're both direct descendents of Dr. Aso(u), but they could be cousins for all we know. Kei & Yuu are definately close friends, and Shizu marrying Misao might be how they met, but this isn't mentioned or confirmed in the game or gameguides.

9. How old is Yuu?
Yuu was 24 at the time of his death.

10. Is it Asou or Aso?
It's kinda both? This is a personal preference when it comes to translating Japanese characters. In FF2, Aso was spelt without the u, in FF3, the translator kept the u. Hence why to keep confusion at a minimum, all Aso(u) family members are having their names spelt with the u in parenthesis.

11. What are the four girls names? Why do you call them pacifiers?
Check out the FF3 Ghost section for their names. In the Japanese version of the game, their title is 'pacifier' not 'handmaiden'. This is because their job was to 'pacify' or 'calm' the tattooed priestess with their singing during the ritual.

12. Is the rope shrine maiden Kirie?
No. It's Kizuna Himuro, a different rope shrine maiden.

13. Is the Kusabi Seijiro Makabe?
Unsure..probably? Considering the events reflected in FF3, I would say that the Kusabi is probably Makabe, and not a former Kusabi (as previously thought).

14. The Twin Shrine Maidens in the game, are they the Kiryu twins? If not, who are they? They are not the Kiryu twins. They are Tsuzuri & Musubi Osaka. (Their names aren't revealed ingame, but there story is explained further in the Zero 3 Comic Anthology.)

15. When does FF3 take place?
FF3 takes place in 1988. This is canon fact, I know that there are some item in time issues (like Rei's car and TV), but that's the official date.

16. How many endings are there?
There are two.

1st Ending: This ending is achieved by defeating the game on the first play through of any mode. After defeating Reika, Rei takes the bodies of Reika and Kaname and sets them adrift on a wooden boat. She then notices ghosts heading out into the water, and confronts Yuu. Yuu tells her she can't go with him, takes the tattoo curse away from her and leaves. Reika wakes up (with the camera in her room) and the tattoo has vanished. The very end shows that both Rei and Miku survive.

2nd Ending: This ending can be achieved in any mode under two conditions. The first is that you've played through the game once already and achieved the first ending. The second is in Chapter 10, Kei must fight a certain female ghost (I think it's Kyouka?) and obtain a set of earrings from her. This ending has all the scenes that the first ending has, with additional screen pictures in the credits. (Pretty much same concept as the Xbox ending of Fatal Frame I). Everyone, Rei, Miku, Kei, and Mio survive.

17. In the first ending, did Kei die? Did Mio die?
Only Miku & Rei survive in the first ending. Mio is up to dispute, but considering Kei did die and he was the only one really trying to save her, it's very possible she succumbed to the curse as well. (Especially since Mio's fate is made clear in the second ending of the game).

18. Did Mio have the curse? If so how did she get it?
Yes. Mio had the curse, kei clearly describes her symptoms in his letters, so she had a tattoo (even if we don't see it in gameplay.) It's hinted at in notes that Mio began to show signs of the curse after seeing the Camera Obscura again.

19. Why does the Manor of Sleep have parts of Himuro Mansion & Minakami village in it?
The Manor of Sleep takes place in the dreamworld. It's explained that the house manifests former experiences and events in the minds of the victims to ensnare and trap them. Himuro is obviously in the house because Miku has the curse, and Minakami is there because Mio has the curse.

20. Are there any differences between versions?
Besides minor translation errors and the ending FMV, there aren't any differences between the different regional releases of the game. (For the US release the ending added tattoos to one of the characters, as opposed to them simply 'disappearing' in the JP version)

21. Will Amano Tsukiko be doing the themesong for FF3?
Yes, Amano Tsukiko will be singing the Themesong called Koe (Voice). Her CD single is scheduled to come out on July 27th, 2005. Koe is also on her album 'A Moon Child in the Sky'.

22. Will FFIII be coming to Xbox console?
There has been no announcement of the game coming to the Xbox console (or Xbox 360 console for that matter) for ANY region at this time.
