GayGamer target of hate crime

The popular blog "GayGamer", was yesterday the target of hate crime, as a hacker managed to flood the site with hate messages and death threats.

Opinions about homosexuality aside, what do you make of this? I mean, this kind of hate crime is pretty extreme, specially in a website that shows what it's about, not hiding anything. The site itself provided no explicit homsexual content (no explicit content at all), and it served only as a blog, to pass out gaming news, and to give one's opinion about video game-related subjects.

(The fact that homosexuality seems to be the target of slander and prejudice in most gamer environments and especially the non-controlled ones, this site provided a sort of place for people to be themselves)

I don't see why someone would do that.

Why do you think? Kind of people who don't want to let other people live their life the way they want to. One thing is not agreeing with it. Another thing, is to decimate anyone who does. Way I see it, this guy's a fucking Nazi who simply decided he was doing what's right by sending death threats to these people, simply because they owned a blog that did no discrimination.

I have never visited GayGamer's site (didn't know about it until now), but there is no excuse for this hacker's actions. No matter how much someone may disagree with other peoples' race, gender, home country, beliefs, sexual orientation, or whatever, there's no excuse for them to hack a website and then spam its forums and chats with death threats for any reason. NO EXCUSE.

I hate how some asswipes with hacking skills can ruin fun for everyone.

There will always be assholes who believe the entire world should think like them, and be willing to do the wrong thing for their beliefs. Not to exaggerate, but this is a kind of cyber-terrorism. It's like hacking a jewish community website, or making death threats at a political party forum.

People hate and fear what they don't understand.
