A little about them

The Khwarezm were a series of states centered on the Amu Darya river delta of the former Aral Sea, in Greater Iran (now modern Uzbekistan), extending across the Ust-Urt plateau and possibly as far west as the eastern shores of the northern Caspian Sea. On the verge of being displaced by the advance of the Mongols they sent out small parties that are on the way to ally with the Egyptian Mamluks. They have been eyeing the holy land ever since they left home, sending intelligance of it's lesser military back to their homeland.

The Ayyubid or Ayyoubid Dynasty was a Muslim dynasty of Kurdish[1] origins which ruled Egypt, Syria, Yemen (except for the Northern Mountains), Diyar Bakr, Mecca, Hejaz and northern Iraq in the 12th and 13th centuries. The Ayyubids are also known as Ayoubites, Ayyoubites, Ayoubides or Ayyoubides. A displaced General by the name of Ai Adil is said to have given each individual tribe their own standing form of government. Al-Adil had thus restored the unity of the Ayyubid Empire.
