The Crusades, great battles to regain the Holy Land for those that believed in it.
In the last crusade the powerful Sultan Al-Kamil agreed to an eight year peace with Europe. This allowed Christians to rule over most of Jerusalem, while the Muslims were given control of the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aksa mosque. Many of the Muslims though were not happy with Al-Kamil for giving up control of Jerusalem and plot against the kindly king ellected by the European rulers.
Little do the English and Muslims know that armies are being ammassed to ride against them, with a full intent on attacking and sacking the holiest city on earth. The Ayyubids invited the Khwarezmian clans to plot with them in an idea of overthrowing the city.

Ruled by the Embriaco family, this small area is mostly desert with a few acers of farmable land at the edges. Most people who live here either work for the Embriaco family, as soldiers in the army of Jerusalem or as farmers.

Lower Lorraine
Ruled by the Earl and Countess this land borders Genoa and is mostly a lush and expansive oasis in the desert near the city. The main house is located in the center of this oasis and those that don't serve as the familie's servants or as the Earl's personal soldiers are usually farmers.

Provence
Located on the borders of Genoa and Lower Lorraine this land is ruled by the Raymond family. Those that don't serve the intelligent Lord of these are farmers or merchants in the city.

Boulogne
The lands of Boulogne are devided between the two rightfull heirs to the land, Baldwin who rules over the river land in thier ownership and Eustace who rules the surrounding farm lands. The people that live near the river are said to be the best fishermen one could wish for and the people that live farther from it are usually great farmers or mercahnts.
