General appearance:
Once, when Kazuya, formerly known as Kazuya Akira Mastuo, wore great japanese armour, mainly of dark masculine colors like black, blue, green, red and brown, as well as rope necklaces and bracelets as most great smaurai would. Wooden sandels used to cling to his feet and his once long hair was kept in a single neat ponytail.
However, those times are gone, along with those looks. Now, he still stands his usual 6 feet 2 inches tall. That once long dark hair, has been cut short and now reaches just past his chin. Black leather boots now cling to his feet and he is now aways clad in black jeans, a long sleeved silk shirts. His amber orbs, now shine and blaze with gold.


General personality:
Kazuya is a noble by blood, thanks to his mother, and also noble by nature. He holds true to the samurai's code of honor and protection of the innocent, and punishment of the wicked, such as barbarians and tyrants. He is loyal to his homeland of Japan and hates christianity. He is viscious and vengeful in battle and will stop at nothing to destroy an enemy. He will kil mortal men with no mercy and no pity, however, he cannot and will not kill mortal women unless they attack him first. Protect the innocent, punish the guilty and wicked. He has a sort of soft spot for women and his love Sho, but do not mistake that for weakness, because if you do, it will be your last.

History:
Kazuya, formerly known as Kazuya Matsuo was was born to Ayeka and Takashi Matsuo over four centuries ago. He is the son of a soldier and noble temple priestess, born of high noble blood. He was born during the time when Emperor Kammu ruled over Japan. His mother was the niece of Emperor Kammu, and therefore, he is half noble by blood.

He lived a middle-class life, not poor like others, but not rich like his uncle, Emperor Kammu. However, he was given the best schooling that his mother could afford and his father put him under the tutolage of the best samurai in the empire. Due to his father being a samurai, and a soldier in the emperor military, Kazuya was taught, honor, respect, the way of the sword, and to protect the innocent. Takeshi Yoshimitsu was the swordmaster of the empire and it was an honor to be taught by him, as his pupil. He was Sensei Yoshimitsu to Kazuya, and he had a beautiful young daughter named Asuka.

He noticed her, but never talked to her he learned all he could from his Sensei. He was taught discipline and honor, and he learned quickly. Possibly the best pupil and soon prodigy of Sensei Yoshimitsu. He was a most promising student and even better son. He grew into a fine young man and thought about asking Asuka for her hand. However one day she dissappeared, which worried bothe he and Sensei. Though, she came back one night, the same, yet different, her skin was white, like a geisha, and she had the most alluring eyes.

He was 24 when she returned to them, different, but just as beautiful. The year was 1549, when the white christians came to japan, with ideals that there is one holy powerful god, when Kazuya was raised to belive in the many gods of japan. He didn't like this one god, this holy all powerful, which to him, sounded wrong. He was loyal to his country, and his heritage. he never gave in nor 'converted' when they offered him a 'better' life. He came to despise them and all they stood for. He believed in evil, and good, but now how they did. Bad and good were in people. He didn't believe heaven and hell, god and the devil. Good and bad came in all forms and in all walks of life. No one could change that. Not even them.

In 1552, when he had turned 28, Asuka approached him one night, at the water fountain by the dojo. She too hated the western, christian invasion, and offered him eternal life along with a power to drive the white man away and avenge their home. At first was a little precarious, cautious, but in the end, he gave in, with his love for her and his country. He fell to her charms and when then night was over, they layed in the highly shielded dojo, him in her slender white arms, in a deep slumber. However, when he awoke the next night, she was already awake. She told him what had happened, and what he now was. He couldn't believe his ears. Him, a demon. She had killed him and brought him back as a demon. It was shock, but with her, he came to accept his fate, for his beloved and prized japan. He fought the white man's religion, killed many because they tried to force their ways upon him and his people. They stripped him of his top-knot, and he lost it. By the next sunrise half of the white invaders were dead, and Kazuya was gone.

He left Kyoto and fled to Osaka. There were less white people there, but that did not quell his anger. He spent his latest centuries in the shadows, watching over his country, disposing of any white man that crossed him. He was forced to watch the cruelties and the unjustices done to his people, and swore that one day he would have his revenge on the christians.

In 1932 he left japan and ventured to romania, italy, to kill the pope, then to the states to seek asylum. He took it upon himself to protect the innocent, and punish the guilty. Something that until now, with more and more slayers popping up, had worked out quite well for him. He receeded into the shadows, and has for the past decades disposed of as many god-loving slayers as he could, knowing that there will always be more. However, as time went on, his hatred for the white man disintigrated and he no longer wished their destruction. A few years later he met his beloved Sho while traveling to Vienna, and upon hearing about the school of FireHall, went to teach there with Sho.
