We can't have an 'Anime/Manga' thread without studio Ghibli,
I love Princess Mononoke, it's one of my favourite films. I also like Whisper of the Heart, the ending of that film is so... corny, 'Shuzuku, when we got older would you marry me?', nothing can beat that in corny-ness. And I can't forget Spirited Away, that is such a georgous film, I love the story line, and we obviously can't forget Howl's Moving Castle, it's quite different to the book, in the book when Sophie first meets Howl (in the film the bit were he takes her to the bakery or cafe or whatever the place is) he is basically like the soldiers that he saves her from in the film. Plus she has two sisters, Lettie (at the bakery) and Martha, they switch places and so Lettie is learning magic and Martha is working at the cafe. In the book, the rumor that Howl eats young girls hearts was spread by the boy (Markle?) and the idea was from the fact that he would geta a girl to like him and then dump her, in the book he (at the start(we all know he ends up with sophie)) likes Lettie(who he knows has switched places with Martha). I like the film and book equally. -------------------- |
