Clubhouse Cinnamon Rolls
1/3 cup yeast
2 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
5 1/2 cups warm water
1/4 cup salt
Flour til dough is desired stiffness to work with
Mix all ingredients except flour. Let set til mixture bubbles. Then stir
and add flour gradually to desired stiffness. Knead gently, then spread mixture on counter about 1/2 inch thick. Coat with soft margerine. Sprinkle with equal parts of sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough up into a roll and slice into 3/4 inch slices. Place on oil coated pan. Let rise until double in size. Bake at 300 degrees until light brown.
GLAZE FOR CINNAMON ROLLS
3 cups powdered sugar
3 tablespoons melted margerine
Enough milk to make pourable mixture.
Stir ingredients together and pour over rolls while they are still hot.
