Shadows of the Empire

Sill probably my favourite Star Wars game, apart from the who Rogue Squadron series. Played this game on the N64, even though I had never read the book, I found the game very enjoyable

I liked the Dark forces series myself personally. Never played Shadows of the Empire

Both are good games but different. For example the graphics of shadows were a lot better than the first dark forces game and the second. (at least in the gameplay). But you would have more freedom in Dark Forces, cause in most situations in shadows you had to move from one point to the other, while in dark forces you often had to return to certain points. You did have more freedom to walk. As for sequels of dark forces, Jedi Knight was a large improvement espcially with the new video film images they showed you between the levels. As for Jedi Outcast and for Jedi Academy they were very similar in gameplay and in graphics although the graphics of the gameplay improved a lot between the first Jedi Knight game and the second.
