Title: my laptop is dead.

as in it won't turn back on, dead. as in it went out the other day for no good reason, and i can't get seem to revive it. to say that mia is not happy would be something of an understatement. my mother is generally my go-to person for computer issues ... and she's leaving the state thursday (if the weather gods permit it), which means i'm going to be up a creek if she doesn't get it working again. the new laptop that i've been desiring is still about a month away from reality because my mom is helping me purchase it -- which means, if the current laptop stays dead, i'll still be up that blasted creek. however, there is a small silver lining in all of this. my mom is leaving the state, which means i'll be house sitting, and i'll be able to use her computer for long periods of time in order to post and whatnot ... but that's not until thursday at the very earliest (again, those weather gods are predicting twenty degrees less than what our current temperature is now, with rain and snow, and that could inhibit her plans to leave). so, right now, i'm unable to get on for long periods of time. that means no posting until this weekend sometime, and no, i am not happy about this whatsoever. i was really hoping to finish catching up as i was doing pretty damn good this week ... but now it looks like i'm going to only be able to pop on to check my pm's, do some admin duties, and curse my dead laptop and the demon that decided to un-possess it. essentially this is a heads up that if i'm not on, and if i'm holding back on posts, it's not because i want to, it's because my laptop decided to pull a fast one, and die, all because it knew i was getting this much closer to a new version of it ... oh yes, life really does suck right now.
