Ok, so I realize not all of you are used to forums, so here's a list of terms you should know and what they mean.
Avatar: a small, square-shaped image (usually 100 x 100 pixels) that appears above your stats (post count, group, member number etc) on the side of the post. It can be edited in your User Control Panel (the My Controls section).
BBCode: I promise this isn't as confusing as it sounds. Basically, the type of coding used on InvisionFree forums.
C-box: The "Chat box" at the bottom of the page. Basically where you can... chat. Replies don't come up instantly though; you have to refresh to see them!
Category: Each "section" of the board. Example: We have the Welcome category, the Nutrition category, etc.
Coding: Basically, how you make things appear in bold, italics, etc.
Forum: Subsets of categories. These are the places that contain topics. Example: The Daily Category is a forum that has topics in it.
Groups: Every member is placed into a group to distinguish who people are. On this forum, for example, the groups are Andover Client, Beverly Client, Trainer, Admin, and Member.
Personal Message: A PM is a personal message. They are sent from one account name to another, and no one but the people to whom the message is sent can read them.
Pinned Topic: A topic that will always appear at the top of a list. Pinned topics are normally important ones like rules, placed where they are so they're easy to find and won't get lost in the shuffle.
Post: What each user individually writes in a topic. Posts can be edited by the user who wrote them or Administrators.
Post Count: How many times you have posted. You can view your post count and others' post counts on the side of yours or their posts.
PM: See Personal Message.
Signature: What appears below your posts. It can contain images or text and can be edited in your User Control Panel (the My Controls section).
Spamming: When you post something in a topic that is completely unrelated to the subject of the topic, or when you post nothing but a smiley face or something equally as ridiculous.
Subforum: A forum within a forum.
Thread: see Forum.
Topic: Also called 'threads', these are the places you add posts to. Topics can be used for many different things.
url: A link to a website.
