The story...

Long ago, when the clans still roamed freely across the lands, a shadow lurked behind in the corner of every mind, a shadow whose heart had lost all compassion and sympathy, a shadow who killed to stain his paws with metallic blood, whose name to this day has been forgotten, but is still feared. Bane, the cold-hearted killer of times past.
He formed an army large enough to overun StarClan themselves, and it grew, slowly doubling, and tripling in size. No cat dared oppose him, and soon, Bane became the strongest force the land had ever seen. But his gathering of so great a force was not for pleasure. No, he planned to eliminate the forest clans.
With his army of many, he set out to destroy the forest, and everything they stood for, for he had he lost his heart with the passing of the only cats he had ever loved.
And so he arrived, a blanket of death, and swept across the land. The battle was savage and brutal, but the clans could not withstand the strength of so many. The few cats that did survive fled, traveling further than they had ever dreamed, across lands that had existed only in the imagination of the most creative kits. Finally, after many moons, they arrived at a place as ancient as the land, the ruins of a once great tw-leg civilization, one that had now been almost completly taken back by nature. They decided to start here anew,to become the clans of Thunder, River, Wind, and Shadow again, and there they have stayed.
