Ben was never drunk before, but he had felt like the feeling of drunkeness was similar to what he was feeling now. This night, he had a hunting count of 6 creatures, a sphinx, a manticore, two minotaurs, a cyclopes, and a sleeping siren. Ben wasn't exactly sure whether the feeling of being drunk was the exhileration that he felt, or the mixture of fatigue and adrenalin. At the moment, Ben was extremely lucky, in his opinion, but he knew that he couldn't face many more monsters so he climbed a tree and lied down on a particularly large branch.

The muscles of the legs for even Ben were very sore, after miles and miles of running backwards and sideways, dodging the minotaur. Lying down on a tree was feeling very good right now for Ben, but he was a little skeptical of how long he'd be comfortable, and uninterrupted. However, he was a fast runner, no matter how tired he was and could probably escape most monsters that would try to kill him in his rest... hopefully.

The branch felt a little rough on Ben's back, and there was no wind, nor rain, and the full moon shined through the clearing in the leaves. Nonetheless, the setting was quite cool and peaceful. Despite the blood that was spilled on his hands, even though there were no skeletons in his closet, Ben was able to think about other things, and keep the hunt off of his mind. He was thinking of Artemis, and how she was doing. He hadn't seen her for a while and thoroughly missed her. He would have liked to hunt with her, at least one more time. Ben didn't even know how long he'd have his demigod abilities for.

Joanne walked through the park a sword rested over her shoulder. She knew now that she couldn't go anywhere without it. How long will she have to fight? How long would she have to put up with all of this stuff. She sighed a bit but as she did she saw a shadow running toward her. She pulled her sword about quickly. It was a smaller one that didn't seem to bother her much but it was still a pain not be able to walk through your town without being attacked. This was her home.

When the Shade got close enough she merely touched it and it fell. How her powers worked for her now was great but if they had only worked for her back when the camp was in trouble maybe Calix would still be alive. She looked around and sighed. What was she doing? Adam would be angry if he knew she was out walking London alone.

She put her sword away and looked up at the moon. May the gods help us, was all she could think about now. Why weren't they stepping in? She knew they had other things to do but weren't the safety of the children that weren't in the city bothering them. Wouldn't they be trying to stop these stupid Shades? No it seems they had left the eldest from the camp before to deal with it. She almost hated her own mother. Almost but that was it. She couldn't hate her just be angry with the gods that did nothing. Her mother at least checked on her now and then.

She closed her eyes and hummed softly thinking a bit. She hoped she saw the day when the Shades were gone and the demigods could go about there ways again but for now she would deal with all of this.

Ben was still resting on the branch of the tree when he heard a noise. It was coming from under him so he checked what the noise was and to his surprise, found it to be one of the more weak of monsters. It was a shade, or at least looked like a shade. Ben deduced that the shade would have a hard time surviving because it was so weak, so it must have a group of other more powerful shades to protect it. Thinking this, Ben started to travel as silently as he could, from branch to branch and it was possible because the shade was travelling quite slowly. No matter how tired, Ben was always up for a hunt. Either way, shades were easy to run away from if necessary.

Slowly, Ben followed the shade, who moved in a random and strange pattern. Of course, Ben could naturally know which tree branches were going to collapse, and which were sturdy, but he wasn't able to think too clearly in this time of fatigue. While jumping of a thick branch to another, the branch collapsed on Ben's landing creating the sound of splitting bark. He was caught off guard for a moment, as he fell face flat on the ground, not even landing properly, and looked up to see the shade fleeing. He quickly got up and started chasing the shade, which led him into a park.

When in the park, Ben saw a girl, or rather, a woman, standing in the park, equipped with a sword. The shade seemed to run towards the woman, thinking she was easy prey, completely forgetting about Ben's pursuit. Ben took out his bow, and aimed it at the shade, with an arrow ready to fire if the woman was in danger. Ben watched attentively as the shade almost touched the woman, but to Ben's shock, she touched the shade first, and the shade died. That was something Ben had never seen before. He guessed that the woman might be Persephone, who he heard of, but never seen, but it was close to winter time so it couldn't be Persephone.

Although the woman had killed the shade, and Ben was confused as to whom the woman was, he had muttered a prayer to Artemis, while standing on the edge of the open park. The death of the shade was still considered a hunt, because it was killed by one of immortal blood, and was being hunted, despite the killer.

Joanna looked up at the sky when the Shade fell. She didn't notice Ben watching her at first. She seemed to be thinking about something. She sighed a bit knowing that tonight wasn't the night that she would probably get to see her mother for a while and yet she would more than love to talk with her once more. She sighed some looking around now and noticed Ben this time. Joanna hadn't once seen she got back seen any of the men that followed her and she would like to keep it that way but from as far away from each other as they were she couldn't tell if it was a demon, a normal person, or one of the men that use to follow her when she was younger.

She didn't want to take the chance that it was one of the three. She turned and started to run. She didn't know where she was going to go just yet and didn't know if he was going to follow her or just stand there. She wasn't scared though. If he was going to hurt her she could easily take him down but she didn't want to have to kill someone tonight. The shade was different that was one of Hades' demons. It could also be another Demigod though. Her mind was racing. If it was maybe they could help her but they could be one of Hades' sons. What was she going to do? Her best bet was trying to loose them some where. If she saw them in the city then cool, good they are on the same side. But if they are anything else she will have to watch her step.

She stopped at the other side of the park and looked behind her. It was really to dark for her to really see him if he was there. She sighed a bit and leaned against a tree. She closed her eyes thinking some. Maybe it was time to go back to Adam and go to bed. She didn't think so she was too stressed right now to do anything like that. She sighed some and pushed off the tree starting to walk on the edge of the park. She hoped she didn't run into anything this time. She wanted to relax and clear her head.

Ben was thinking of what to do with the female. He could easily just hit her with an arrow, and it would solve all problems, but the female could be a demigod, or an extremely lucky mortal. It wasn't of Ben to act irrationally in a situation like this, so he was going to act rationally. In this case, acting rationally was approaching the female and finding out for himself what she was. Of course, there was always the risk of the female actually being a monster or one who carries the blood of Hades. Nonetheless, risk was too invigorating and thinking was too boring.

At that thought, Ben jumped off the tree branch, looking down to make sure that he would land properly on the soft patch of dirt. He normally wouldn't have to look down, but he was tired. Maybe he would've landed on his feet, but Ben didn't take that chance. To his surprise, Ben looked up to see the girl facing the opposite position, legs moving quickly, and quite far from her initial position. Ben cursed under his breath and started to run and far from maximal speed. He was going to pursue the female, even if it meant attaching her to a wall with a bunch of arrows.

Minimal thoughts started to come and go into Ben's mind. The thoughts were of the female being a powerful monster. It made Ben so anxious to finally see the female up close. It made him so anxious to fight the female, even if she wasn't a monster. But no... Ben wasn't a monster, he was a demigod, so he could only hunt monsters. Either way, killing monsters was the only killing he was allowed to do. Like Artemis, he could not dwelve into the realm of killing those with souls unless permitted by a divine power.

Joanna kept running when she heard him coming after her. She didn't know how long she could keep this up. She was from London so the fact that she knew ere she was going was a good thing. Or did she know? She wasn't quiet sure were she was going to get him off her tail. She had to think fast but didn't know. She kept running. It had been a long night and she didn't know if she could keep going sooner or later.

She looked behind her and saw him still coming but with out really thinking she tripped over a root of a tree and fell to the ground. She had twisted her ankle when she hit and and swore loudly. She went into the shadows of the trees hoping he couldn't see her but knew that she had been loud enough for him to know.

She closed her eyes hoping with all her heart that he didn't hear her. She didn't think she would get that lucky. Where was Adam? She shouldn't have gone off without him. He was going to be pissed if she never came back or worse came back broken and bruised. She didn't want to see him angry. His face kept flashing in her mind.
